1911 was close to the train station. The location is near all the amenities a traveler would need. Shops, quick laundry, Machu Picchu buses and Ministry of Culture all less than a 10 min walk. Breakfast was great(starts early for early outings) with assortment of choices and eggs made to order. Hot water/tea available. Coca leaves also if you need it! There’s an elevator but it doesn’t work. Only about 4/5 floors so not a huge problem. Room was as described. It was clean, warm, spacious and well done. The hot water in the shower was great all days but one. That day it was lukewarm. Showered quickly so again not a big problem. 24 hour reception. There’s a possibility to hear noises from the stairwell. So you bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. All staff were very polite and helpful. Special mention to Anthony! He was my life saver during my time at 1911. Very helpful, kind and always smiling. He gave me advice about Machu Picchu, other surrounding sites (Hot Springs, Waterfalls, Museums, etc), food recommendations (good for every budget) and also had great conversations with him while I was there. Give him a raise! Overall great experience staying there.

Last min, stay one night in Machu Picchu because my entrance time is 6 am next day. The hotel is small and close the bus station about 300 m walk. The lift wasn’t working when I arrived at 7 pm and I walked up 5th floor… the breakfast started at 430 am, nice for me before gg on day trip. There’s no aircon control but the room wasn’t that cold when temp outside is 10 degC.

We stayed for 1 day at this hotel which is just opposite the railway station and close to everything here. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is sumptuous and staff are super friendly

Professional and high standard service.
Fourth floor with no lift was a bit of a pain for older couple with couple of heavy bags and no one to help
