This is not a hotel that you would normally choose, being basic in the extreme and in severe need of a refurb, with no elevator, postage stamp rooms, smaller bathrooms and and steep stairs. HOWEVER, if you are getting a ferry and staying one night, the cost and location make it the perfect overnight bed.. Out the door, cross the road and get on the ferry. Low cost food outlets close by and the metro/ airport shuttle up the road. It's location driven and only for a night.... but on that basis it works.

The staircase is steep have to leave suitcase downstairs we were quoted 32 euros then paid 47 euros when we told receptionist she pretended she didn't understand never ever again I'd rather stay on the street

The location was convenient, the shower worked well, and the refrigerator was useful. However, the hotel felt old overall, especially the bathroom. The sink drain hose had a hole, so the floor got wet every time I used it. The worst issue was the bed. There seemed to be many mites, and I was bitten in several places, which badly affected my sleep. I had already paid through Agoda, but I was charged an extra accommodation tax at the hotel. It may be a local rule, but this should be clearly stated in advance. Good location, but cleanliness and maintenance need improvement.

Ikaris is what it is, an old run down hotel, but the rooms are clean and adeqate for a short stay. It is very, very convenient if you are catching a ferry, only minutes away, and similarly, if you are catching a bus to the airport.
