About this house rental

Situated on a beautiful wide canal with views of the bay, L'Attitudes easily accommodates 8 guests in 3 bedrooms, plus a loft. We have recently updated and improved to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. There is an open boat slip, if you want to bring your boat. We have a large covered deck upstairs. Downstairs, there is a large paved patio with shade and a breeze, beside the water. Fish, swim, kayak, and crab from your own private dock. L'attitudes is just minutes from the beach and the public pool. We recently added a new swim ladder, to make it easier to get in and out of the canal. We also added video cameras downstairs to improve security for our guests.

We provide a well-equipped kitchen, as well as gas and charcoal grills. We fell in love with this place watching our daughters with a hot dog in one hand a fishing rod in the other. Come make your own memories to share.

About this house rental

The location on the canal with the huge dock was awesome. So much fishing and swimming and kayaking. The kids and adults had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and spacious! The beds were superb. The hot water and water pressure were amazing. Great neighborhood and close to anything you need.

House was great! Plenty of room, lots of activities (games, puzzles,etc) for rainy days or when we needed an indoor break from the heat! All the things we needed at our fingertips-beach access close by, groceries nearby, restaurants, etc. all very reasonable distances!

We had a nice stay in this house. Kids loved it. We even acquired some extra kids that liked our rental better than theirs so they stayed with us. Loved crabbing and caught a few big ones! We threw them back so hopefully they will be a nice dinner for someone else. The house had all you could need. We would love to come back for longer.

My fiancé & I decided to book this property last minute due to work and personal events in/near Galveston - we're locals. The owner was very accommodating & allowed us to stay with our dogs. We absolutely loved our stay! Great place to work with a view - internet connection was perfect & the view of the bay & canal with the 3rd floor landing was glorious. We enjoyed crabbing nightly with the crab traps the owners provided & kayaking with the kayaks the owners also provided. Additionally, we fished off the property's docks & absolutely loved it!I cannot explain how grateful we were to find a last minute rental that allowed pets! The owners were exceptionally friendly about allowing our dogs & the small fenced yard was wonderful for them to utilize during our stay. We also brought our fire pit & enjoyed a few fires in the yard!We will definitely request booking this rental in the future and would recommend it to friends/family! The owners were also accommodating of a small crawfish boil we had during our stay. Just wonderful! Thank you so much for being wonderful hosts!Clean, fun, kind (owners), and views are our favorites with this rental! Stay here for sure - worth every penny!

Property was great and the host was very responsive. The kids enjoyed fishing from the dock, using the crab taps, and using the kayaks. This was a great place that had everything we needed. The beach was a short drive and was not crowded at all for an October Tuesday. The kids really enjoyed the checkin snacks! Thanks for home away from home.

We had a tropical storm blow in a ruin deep sea fishing trips but we still ended up having a lot of fun kayaking in the canal and down roads lol ( due to flooding) crabs were biting and even caught a few stone crabs. We will definitely be back but hopefully next time no storm.

Loved everything about this place. Great location. Loved the fenced in yard for the doggies. Enjoyed kayaking in the bay and fishing right off the back porch. Loved all the sliding glass door that opened onto the balcony. Wonderful place!

We had a fabulous time at L'attitudes. The location was perfect. We enjoyed using the kayaks every day to paddle to the bay and watch the sunset. And we loved that beach access was just a short drive. The guys had a great time fishing in the canal. The owners were very responsive. It was a wonderful trip and we hope to return!

Great location and great layout. We have 3 kids. A 13 yr old an 11 yr old and a 1.5 yr old. Finding a place like this is priceless. I felt like my toddler was safe and still able to participate in the fun and fishing. My two older kids were constantly entertained and each had their own space. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back.

This is our favorite place to stay in Jamaica Beach! We have rented this canal house multiple times and during various seasons on the year. It never disappoints! The property is always very clean and kitchen spices well stocked. No need to pack the basics, it’s already there. All beds and living area furniture is comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone to sit and enjoy each other’s company, whether you are outside or inside. Thank you for sharing your home. We will be back!

Had a wonderful time staying at Latitudes. This house has been very good to us for about 14 yrs and we are still creating memories. Located on a very nice canal in Jamaica Beach. There have been some upgrades with new owner that are great. Kitchen is stocked nicely and its nice to have 2 grills one gas upstairs and charcoal downstairs. One big reason I like this property is that there is a boat slip where I can store my boat and have it ready to fish in a moment. There are 2 underwater lights and many water toys to use as well. House is very comfortable and AC works great. Thanks for the stay !!

We love the way the house looked. Children love to sleep in the beds next to the stairway. The neighborhood is quiet. The house is maintained very clean. We had a little problem getting into the house. We contact John and he is able to get everything solved. We had very impression on the professionalism of the owner (or manager). We had a great time and would rent it again. We would recommend this house highly.

Exactly what we needed

When I started looking for a place to stay down there I knew I wanted to be by the water. I found this place and messaged the owner for a couple questions. He replied quickly and was incredibly informative and never seemed to be bothered by answering my questions. The house was so clean, the neighborhood was calm and in a great area. It is away from the congestion of Galveston but still has bait ships, grocery stores and gas nearby and just a quick drive to the seawall. So my favorite part was the location on the canal it was at, my son was addicted to kayaking and with location I felt comfortable letting him kayak alone because on one side of the house it has a dead end so I knew he couldn't drift off too far but still have plenty of room to kayak. The house was really nice! My kids LOVED the loft part and kept asking us to move there. It was worth the money and I enjoyed our stay more than I could express!

This property is in a great location away from the city crowd and a short 3 minute drive to the closest public beach area. The house is equipped with all the amenities and cookware you will need for your stay. Plenty of space for my family of 7. Great views during the day and a fantastic spot on the canal to do some fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. We had a great stay and will be back next time we are close by!

We came for my husbands birthday trip with a small group of friends. We were able to relax and enjoy the beach being so close by during the day and fish the lights off the canal in the evening. Very clean and nice place to stay. The loft area is really cool for kids or singles and the bedrooms were perfect for couples. The only minor thing we ran into was not enough toilet paper, paper towels, or dish towels. We were low on the second day of our trip and ran out to get some at the corner store. Grill and kitchen were equipped and great for cooking at the house. Lots of kayaks and a canoe for the whole gang. Highly recommend!
