Along with custom craftsman cabinetry and woodwork, the home boasts several modern amenities as well as expansive views of the Olympic Mountains and Strait of Juan de Fuca. Perched atop a small farm, this property rests on 45 peaceful acres while still being close to the area's best attractions like the Olympic Game Farm, Dungeness Lighthouse, and Purple Haze Lavender Farm!

Cruise along the peaceful country roads of the Happy Valley neighborhood where sheep, goats, cows, and chickens are often found grazing the pastures. As you pull up, you'll find a seasonal garden, fruit trees, and orchards painting the perfect picture for a relaxing nature getaway!
The charming interior offers all the comforts of home, including a flat-screen Smart TV with Netflix and wireless internet access. Kick back and relax while watching your favorite shows, occasionally glancing through the large windows that reveal the stunning farmland and distant mountains.
Cooking endeavors await in the fully equipped kitchen outfitted with a full-sized fridge, stove/oven, and dishwasher. You can also whip up a savory surprise using the gas grill! After all is prepped and ready, settle for a quality meal at either the 4-person dining table or patio table.
For a replenishing night's sleep, retreat to one of 2 bedrooms, both with 2 cozy queen beds. As you wake, take a refreshing rinse in the shower/tub combo before another exciting day of Sequim adventures!

One of Sequim's most popular attractions is the Olympic Game Farm, situated less than 20 minutes from the home. If you venture further north, visit the New Dungeness Lighthouse, roam through Dungeness Landing County Park, or go fishing in the Dungeness River.
The area is also known for its fragrant lavender farms, such as The Lavender Connection, Purple Haze Organic Lavender Farm, and Jardin Du Soleil Lavender. If you're visiting toward the end of July, be sure to check out the Sequim Lavender Festival!

This cottage has everything for a comfortable stay. It is impeccably clean. The kitchen is well stocked, the views are amazing, and the owner is helpful and responsive in an unobtrusive way.

We stayed several weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the cottage - filled with natural light, mountain, pasture, and sea views that go on forever, a spacious, well-equipped kitchen, good bed linens and towels, good WiFi & TV, and did I mention the sheep and one goat who serenely grazed in the pasture out front. Our friendly hosts, Liann & Dan, provided homemade jam, privacy, and from time to time, fresh produce, as well as good advice on local hikes and Sequim in general. We thank them for a wonderful stay.

We had a great extended weekend at Wide Sky Cottage in February. The cottage is nicely but not overly decorated, spic ‘n span clean, and the kitchen is well equipped - much better than most vacation rentals. We were greeted by owner Liann who came bearing homemade jam. But my favorite part was the expansive views of the mountains, the Strait, and the pastoral setting right outside the door. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the farm animals and their daily habits, especially the sheep and their lambs. The lambs were springiness personified and a source of joy and humor during our entire stay.
Lastly, the custom craftsmanship of the furniture and cabinets made by Dan are works of art. I love being surrounded by beautiful and well-designed things and Dan’s talent shined in every room. I hope to come again and highly recommend Wide Sky Cottage to those looking for an escape from urban living and yet want to be close to Sequim and it’s amenities.
