This cabin is huge. It’s full of antiques and eclectic decor. We loved it. It’s closed to red river gorge and natural bridge so perfect for day hikes. It is dusty. Remember it is a cabin. Don’t expect Marriott or Hilton. There were some issues I addressed with the owner, who seems attentive to taking care of them. There is no pool table. The game room is now an extra bedroom but there are plenty of board games, a chess/checkers table and ample room to spread out, read, play games, whatever. The hot tub is a jacuzzi bath. Overall, a nice place to stay with plenty of room and I was so appreciative that our dogs were welcome too.

This cabin is about a 30 minute drive from Natural Bridge/Gorge/and Miguel’s Pizza. It is very secluded with a short hiking trail at the rear of the property. The cabin is cozy and rustic. The decor is very eclectic and really cool! The cabin was stocked with most everything you would need (shampoo, first aid, breakfast, etc etc). Which is a good thing because once you get to the cabin, you don’t want to leave. The cabin is very spacious and comfortably can accommodate 6 people! The host was extremely helpful and we appreciate that they allow pets! We would definitely stay again!

Our initial reaction seeing this cabin was disappointment as it was so close to the road! We mistakenly thought it would be deep in the woods surrounded by the 60 plus acres! We quickly unloaded the groceries and took our two dogs for a hike in the woods spotting the trail entrance, and excited to get some exercise and explore the woods on the advertised trails…..the single trail petered out after a couple hundred yards so we were very let down….and as mentioned by a previous tenant, both people and one dog ended up with a multitude of chigger bites so we had to deal with itching our entire week’s stay (we didn’t go back in those woods!) The cabin itself is spacious and homey but the furnishings seemed dated. The screened porch was nice but the tile flooring was cracked and chipped. The kitchen incredibly well furnished with appliances and utensils. A wonderful dinner awaited us in the refrigerator. Only problem was the oven didn’t work. There is a toaster oven but that definitely scaled back meal plans. Have to agree with previous renter’s comments on cabin’s cleanliness….with allowances and understanding it’s an old cabin, there were so many cob webs - the cabin just didn’t feel clean. The beds were not comfortable and some of the bedding was super old. I went to do laundry and found a dryer full of towels…. I did fold and leave on table, But I find this unacceptable for a rental property. Property is a good location for accessing Daniel Boone National Forest/RRG! Overall, we were disappointed. We hoped to be staying at a 4-5 star rental based on the price but it fell far short.
