About this apartment rental
Surround yourself in luxury while enjoying privacy and seclusion all while being close to world class dining and shopping. Enjoy unparalleled views and seamless indoor/outdoor living with a top notch beach steps away and some of the best snorkeling on island directly in front of your condo. Watch whales, dolphins and turtles from the large lanai and settle in with a tropical drink to enjoy spectacular sunsets.
This gorgeous, fully remodeled condo, featuring stunning etched glass and tile, bamboo cabinets and granite throughout, accommodates 4 guests with a Tempurpedic King bed in the master bedroom while the guest bedroom features two Tempurpedic twin beds that can be converted to a King bed upon request. We also provide tempurpedic pillows in both bedrooms. The master bedroom features a slider that can be opened to enjoy ocean views from the master bath. The kitchen is fully equipped and features top of the line appliances and a large island to enjoy the views while cooking and both indoor and outdoor dining seating is available. The following small appliances are also available: Mr. Coffee, small Keurig, coffee grinder, toaster, small mixer, Vitamix blender, InstaPot and a Ninja indoor grill/air fryer. The lanai also has two lounge chairs to soak up the sun and enjoy the spectacular views.
Relax inside after a long day playing outside. The condo is fully air conditioned with separate controls for the bedrooms allowing everyone to set their own comfort levels. There are flat screen tvs in the living room and each of the bedrooms that offer local and national television channels plus HBO/Max. These tvs are also capable of streaming with a guest's personal device such as an Apple TV or Roku.
This property sits directly on Po'olenalena Beach, also known as Wedding Beach and Secret Beach, and offers two pools with jacuzzis, one being directly behind this unit. We provide beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach towels and a cooler. There are two herb gardens available for guests to enjoy as well as multiple tennis courts. Two of the tennis courts can be used for pickleball. We provide 4 tennis racquets and 4 pickleball paddles. There is also a fitness center with cardio and weight machines as well as free weights that is available 24/7. The property offers free on-site parking, EV charging and 24 hour security. The Makena Surf property does not have elevators. While we are on the 3rd floor, the building layout translates to our condo being up a flight and a half of stairs.
Please note lanai grills have now been banned at Makena Surf due to fire code and ours has been removed. Grills are available at the pools and herb gardens and additional grills will be installed by management.
This condo has been on VRBO for several years under our former property management company and has consistently earned 5 star ratings. We now live on Maui full time and enjoy managing our condo and interacting directly with our guests.

It was a lovely place to stay with very close beach access. The bed was very comfortable and the place was very clean. The view of the Ocean from the Condo is fantastic. It was a perfect place for a relaxing vacation- just what we were looking for!

What a view from F307—this unit offers a front-row lanai perfect for watching the lively beachfront scene. We spotted dolphins and sea turtles, watched kayaks and boats come and go, and enjoyed seeing people snorkeling, strolling, and playing in the surf. The beach is literally just steps away, so we joined the action daily.The hosts are gracious and responsive.

The location of this condo makes it one of the more outstanding places you could stay in Maui. You’re right on the beach and waking to the morning, waves and experiencing the nighttime sunsets makes for a wonderful stay. Nathan and Cindy are excellent hosts. We had a small issue (likely our fault) and Nathan came right down to tend to it. Also, the kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could possibly ask for. All in all it was a lovely stay and we’d recommend this place.

This was our second stay at this amazing beachfront condo. Beach access was easy and the two onsite pools offer a great option on windy days. Sunsets from the 3rd floor lanai are breathtaking. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances and tools you will need. We also used the barbecue on the lanai and ate many meals out there. We love the proximity of Makena Surf to some excellent restaurants in the Wailea area. We should also mention the decor in this particular condo. In viewing other Makena Surf VRBO options, we found nothing to compare to the feel this owner has created with their furnishings and artwork. All the beach paraphernalia is available as well so no need to worry about chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc. We will likely be back again to this sweet spot in South Maui. Kudos to our hosts who really thought of everything and were super responsive to our requests. Scott K and family October 2025
