Guesthouse Gifu SUAI

The beds were so comfortable. Stayed in a western style room. The house is clean and quiet. The pets (bird, cat and dog) were very cute. One of the best guesthouse experiences I've had. Shares the home with the owners so it's very quaint. Within 10-15 min walk to the station, close to 711 and Lawson. Many parking options. I didn't get the breakfast coupon for the partner cafe but it was nice they offered it! Shower was spacious and clean. Toilets in both areas of sleeping so never had a wait. They even offer to pick you up at the station if you aren't arriving by car!

Me, and my two daughters had a wonderful stay. Hiro-San and Hamika-San were wonderful hosts. Our room was very comfortable. Having a morning tea on the garden deck overlooking the rice field was so enjoyable. We rented bikes and explored the surrounding neighborhoods. Our hosts recommended the nearby Onsen which was really a fantastic experience. Lilly the dog was a very nice addition to our stay. Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu, Hiro and Hamika. Take care.

The couple were amazing and had a lot of information about what to do in Gifu. They also offered to collect me from the train station if I arrived after 2pm. There was also an option to hire bikes to get around the city if you were to stay longer than a night. Also, thier Shiba Inu, Lily, was so cute.

Nothing to dislike really. I mean, if you are more of a party person, this wouldn't be a good place to stay as it's more of a chilled environment.

The guesthouse is in quiet area. The room was clean and good size. The toilet and shower was good. The guesthouse offered pick up and drop-off services but guests have to be very on time.

Location is far from the station. After sunset, it was very quiet and dark to walk there. I underestimated distance between 2 train stations and was late for 3 min. after the set pick up time; the host left so I walked. When I arrived and raised about the pick up point, the host got angry and be very rude. To be fair, I was late (3 min) and because of using another person's account to make reservation so the host cannot contact me to confirm pick up point and time on that day. However, the guesthouse should have been more kind in response with guest. Don't need to shown such bad manner. The drop-off service was no problem.
