Le Clos des Fayettes

Le Clos des Fayettes is located amidst the Golden Stone region of Beaujolais. Situated amongst the private vineyards. Nothing could surpass the picturesque quiet peaceful amazingly beautiful location. The accommodations are in an old French country farmhouse that has been updated with spacious additions while still maintaining the unique, lovely, quaint atmosphere of the vineyards and surrounding town’s authentic historic buildings. The owner hosts live on site and are truly caring and ensure your stay is the best it can be, offering helpful hints for day trips and meals away from the location. We stayed here to be close to Lyon, the gastronomical center of France. What we found was that this place was as far as we needed to go for a truly French gastronomical experience. Marie-Agnes is a remarkably talented hostess-chef. The breakfasts were great with many homemade items. I pushed my luck and asked her to make roasted duck breast one night and I mean it when I say it was the best I’ve ever had. Don’t be afraid to make your dinner requests. Eric her husband is like a brother helping whenever possible. We look forward to another stay in the Beaujolais region at Le Clos des Fayettes.
