Love this place, beautiful view, love the hot tub, lots of room and great location. Just a little traffic noise from the highway below, but I knew that before I booked and it didn’t bother me a bit.

Easy location to get to. My Honda sports coupe had no trouble getting to this cottage in warm weather; I put it in "sports mode" to help it ascend carefully around 5 mph. It is a paved, well maintained neighborhood road, the driveway to it is short w/ small gravel in good condition. The gate key code box is at the small tree w/tendrilled branches. The black pavement beyond the gate is well maintained & steep. You WILL NOT want to go beyond the black pavement because you will have missed your turn into the cottage's driveway & it immediately becomes loose, very steep gravel up to a privately owned home(think 4-wheel drive). The cottage itself is spacious open floor plan, clean, & not overly decorated. I suggest bringing extra blanket if you get chilly as the spare blankets are electric heating blankets w/wires running through them (not my personal preference). The traffic beyond the end of the yard can be heard because highway is below. Covered deck/porch on 3 sides of cottage. Porch swing. Plentiful outdoor/indoor seating & lighting. Fire pit has meshed steel, dome lid (removable). Full size hot tub & appliances. Plenty of hot water. Good cooling/heating air system. Very comfortable. Multiple ceiling fans & light switches w/labels. Yellow Rose Realty gave quick & professional communication when power & internet went out because of bad weather. Bring flashlight just in case & coffee mug(s). ALL light bulbs worked. Broom, dust pan, 1 large, flat screen TV. Lake Fontana has free public access <1 mile from this rental for swimming, paddle boarding, etc. I would book another stay here in the future. BEAUTIFUL area! Kind people!

This was my first time staying with yellow rose
I’m not sure who’s responsibility it is but here is what I have concerns with
When we got to the cabin, there was trash on the outside table and a bag of cloth tablecloths on the couch. I’m not sure if someone who stayed left it or if the housekeeper left it.
There was these big black ants inside the house
The house wasn’t very clean at all. It really need to be dusted, the floors didn’t look like they had been mopped, the bathtub could’ve stood to be cleaned more better the mirrors were awful
I think the porch should’ve been swept and checked for cobwebs and spiders
The beds were very uncomfortable
Also, while we were out on our last evening I got a phone call from Billy with yellow Rose asking how was our visit and what time we would be leaving the next day. I told him our check out was at 10 am. He said well I just wanted to ask so that I can let our housekeepers know when to come clean. I just thought that was not very good etiquette and rude.
We also saw cockroaches which put the icing on the cake and we had to leave way earlier 10 AM
We don’t do cockroaches they’re very disgusting and carry diseases!!! we left by 6 AM and we were not planning on leaving till about 930
We did enjoy having some of the amenities like the hot tub. It was very clean and very nice.
I enjoyed having a coffee maker. Overall, it was a nice stay but I do believe things could’ve been much better.
