A hidden gem in the mountains of Veneto

This place really stood out. Everything — from the beautifully designed little details to the stunning views — felt personal and thoughtful. Maria, the host, couldn’t have been kinder or more welcoming. You can tell she truly cares. The location was also super convenient for getting around and exploring different parts of Veneto.

A lovely place to get away from it all.

It’s in a beautiful location with a lovely view. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and cozy. The bed was comfortable. It’s a fabulous place to get away from everything. We ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent. The staff consists of mostly the owner and one or two others. This is amazing considering how well maintained the property is, and how great the food is. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to all. FYI the food in the restaurant is vegetarian.

Dislike is too strong a word. The water pressure is low, so just for information, we shouldn’t place toilet paper down the WC. A basket is provided for toilet paper disposal. It’s tricky to remember, but try as sometimes the pressure isn’t enough to flush. This didn’t detract from our stay at all. There is little to no WiFi in the chalets, but the restaurant area has great WiFi. This was great for us though as we just left our tech by the bed and lived life

Great location to relax with phenomenal view.

Calvenere is located in a very nice area surrounded by nature and the view on the valley is phenomenal. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The host Maria gives many useful tips for things to do in the region; Venice and Milan are highly recommended as day trips.

It's a place that you would hide from tourists... but it is such a gem between Venice and the Alps!

..It's a place that you would hide from tourists but it is such a gem between Venice and the Alps! Calvenere, in the hills of Vicenza, is a "happy village". There are seven independent houses, each with its own almost total privacy and a spectacular view of the Venetian plain from all windows. All arounds there are blossomed trees, daffodils and botanical herbs... and baby deers! Each cottage has its own independent kitchen, and a fire stove heating the cosy room, but the restaurant is offering breakfast, dinner and lunch, all eventually vegan or for celiac and all brighted up by candle lights.. The first time we arrived Maria prepare to us a wonderful dinner directly on the cottage table, in front of the panoramic window... I completely fell in love in it!

Absolutely nothing, the last 2km of road are a little bit steep but nothing that it is not affordable by a normal car or motorcar!

Es ist ein ganz besonderer Ort - der Grund dafür ist die Hausherrin Maria, die mit Liebe und Nachhaltigkeit und Kreativität nicht nur die Bungalows und das Essen gestaltet - es ist einfach das Rundherum, das mit ihr Reden, die Ruhe und die fantastische Pflanzen- und Tierwelt, die einem das Gefühl geben, dass es mehr gibt auf dieser Welt als Stadt und Hektik. Wir haben uns mit unserem Hund sehr wohl gefühlt - im Bungalow, im Garten und das Essen war fantastisch (vegetarisch, man kann aus verschiedenen Gängen aussuchen, preislich sehr fair, Wein wird dazu empfohlen).

Location spettacolare x chi ama il relax, privacy e natura... di sicuro molto presto ci ritornero'. E' un piccolo angolo di paradiso. Consiglierei sopratutto a coppie xchè è veramente romantico. Gentilissima la signora Maria. Ristorante incantevole, cucina vegetariana ma molto saporita. Calvenere merita veramente di essere visitata. Helen

i tornanti x arrivare alla location sono molto stretti ma cmq andando con cautela e buon senso ci si arriva tranquillamente... del resto tutto SUPER
