Ultra lux apartment steps from Brown and RISD

Location was great, check in was smooth

Sheets didn't feel too clean. TV remotes were not working, hair dryer was not working. Pillows were weirdly thick and uncomfortable, no spare pillows.

We had everything we needed in this ground-floor apartment. The neighborhood is lovely and historic, and it's an easy walk to attractions such as WaterFire. We appreciated the easy parking and entry via doorcode. Our host was responsive and helpful.

Location.

The location is fabulous, right between RISD and Brown, as advertised. The property was very clean, and we appreciated the fact that previous renters' condiments were left in the cupboards (spices, cooking oil, ketchup, etc.) That would have been handy had we chosen to cook for ourselves.

I had not received any prior communication from the host--in future I will be more proactive about making contact well before the trip. In this case, I called the phone number listed on Booking.com upon arrival and received a recording that there was no voicemail set up. While I was on the phone with Booking.com customer service, I received a a text saying, "Hi, this is [host name]." After a delay of several minutes, he (or she?) sent the door codes. I asked about where to park; he eventually told me spot 1. There were no written instructions inside the unit; he eventually told me the WiFi code was on the router, but he didn't tell me where the router was. More proactive, friendly communications would have been very welcome. I also suggest upgrading the beds and the couches, both of which were notably uncomfortable. But it suited our purposes and I would stay there again.
