Reflection Cave House

Beautiful place and amazing location. The roof terrace, although separate to the property, was such a treat with great views. The house was immaculate and comfortable. Pyrgros was picturesque and a great base to explore Santorini.

Finding the house late at night was difficult. We had the location on Google maps but my phone kept losing connection. Luckily we had a photo of the house and this helped us to find it. Don’t bring heavy luggage as it is a steep walk along windy cobbled lanes with many steps. Getting onto the roof terrace is a bit tedious and not easy to negotiate with food and drink. You have to leave the house at the back, go up steep steps, out of the gate and then find and unlock another gate and go up more steps, but it was totally worth the effort.

some curtains to hide the sunlight would be helpful to sleep a bit longer; and the church is quite loud at 7am but I guess that’s the village life :)

Kamila is highly responsive and make sure our request is met, good suggestion on local tips Pyrgos is not highly touristic so it is transquil. the little square near the castelli adds a lot of charm to the place sun terrace is nice especially at sunset

a bit of an uphill walk ( 5-8 mins.) to the place but if you are average fit person this should not be a problem.

Spectacular view from the large roof terrace - right on top of the village! Very nicely decorated traditional cave room, comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, friendly hosts who helped us book transport to the harbour. We recommend this to all travellers who doesn't mind climbing a couple of stairs!

The apartment is a little damp - but that is only natural for this type of house! Be sure to use the de-humidifier and it is no problem. We had no hot water to start with, but soon found the switch for it outside the bathroom :)
