Fabulous apartment, extraordinary view and marvelous hosts, truly we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Monica and Emanuele are so kind and generous, always available for information and help. The apartment is clean, comfortable, well equipped and with a birds eye view of the lovely Lanzo Valley. Hiking paths galore, interesting villages, high alpine plains, cold water streams and lakes, and very friendly locals, for sure a very good vacation. We do suggest a car to be able to fully enjoy the surroundings.
The last 300 meters of the road is gravel and you will need to drive slowly, small cars are okay and will arrive at the apartment without problems. It may be paved up to the apartment in the near future.

A peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings.
Us: We are a couple, 29, from Scotland on our first real holiday in Italy. We loved our stay and will return! Gold Cave: We were met in Traves and Emanuele escorted us up to The Gold Cave to make sure we didn't get lost (it's actually quite easy to find with Google Maps / SatNav). Monica and Emanuele gave us an extremely warm welcome and a tour of the apartment and common areas as well as some advice on the local beauty spots, walks, cafés.. We were in Apartment 3, at the top of the building. The room(s) were perfect, with everything we needed, including wood for the fire and a few nights kindling - the woods all around were laden with dry twigs and leaves, though we didn't need to go foraging as the weather was very mild. The views are phenomenal, as the pictures show - our pictures barely do it justice. We were left with a 4G dongle so we could cosy up with some TV in the evenings. The kitchen was fully equipped with gas hobs, pots/pans/utensils and a microwave. Bed was comfortable with a light duvet and a heavier quilt for colder nights. And slippers! In early October we had a few hours of sun at the front (living area/kitchen/balcony) in the morning. Around 0800 it moved around to our bedroom. This apartment also gets sun through the afternoon / early evening on a second balcony, dappled by trees. The common area downstairs has a big fire, some social seating and a stereo - it looks like it would make a very cosy social room, though we were the only guests at the time (possibly why we got the top floor? It was actually much bigger than we needed and had a second bedroom we didn't even explore). Traves: The folks in Traves were also very welcoming, and very understanding of our poor Italian. We can thoroughly recommend Luciana's hospitality at Bar Trattoria Amici. We ate there almost every day, and it was never a disappointment.

Wij hebben 4 nachten overnacht in het bovenste appartement, wat van alle gemakken voorzien is. Wat een geweldige gastheer -en vrouw hebben we hier getroffen. We werden uitgenodigd om uitgebreid te bespreken wat de prachtige omgeving te bieden heeft. Dank voor jullie tips! Bij aankomst stond er een heerlijk flesje wijn klaar. Daarnaast heeft Linsey een heerlijke chocolade mousse voor ons gemaakt. Wij zouden een verblijf bij Linsey en Mauro zeker aanbevelen!

L’atmosfera di pace e di benessere! Passeggiate nel pieno relax a contatto con la natura. Ci siamo sentiti liberi e rigenerati Mauro e Lisney sono due persone disponibili, gentili e generose, capaci di accogliere gli ospiti con cordialità . È raro incontrare persone così speciali che vanno al di là del rapporto host/ ospiti , ma ci mettono davvero il cuore!
