Naxos Hostel

Clean and simple hostel right on the beach! Option for female only dorm which was also great.

amazing location

Very friendly staff, especially Andriani at the counter, the owner is also very polite and resourceful. I had the luck to be in the room with an excellent group of people who linked up and started organizing activities together. Rooms were air conditioned, fresh towels and sheets almost daily or upon request. Right by the beach.

The room was in a basement.

Overall, I had a good stay here. The location is lovely, right by the sea (clean and god one!) and around 30 minutes from Naxos Town. It’s a nice place if you want to stay close to the beach rather than in the centre.

The main downside for me was the female dorm. It has 8 beds, but the room felt small for that many people. There are two bathrooms, which is useful, but they could definitely be cleaner and better organised, there weren’t even hooks to hang clothes or towels. Another thing to keep in mind is that there is no real common area in the hostel: no lounge and no shared kitchen. Luckily, there was a fridge in the room, and we could sometimes sit on the chairs at the café. The beach in front of the café is very convenient, although the sunbeds and chairs are paid during the day. They become free for customers after 5 pm, which was actually really nice for an evening swim and sunset.
