Villa Contessa

Andrea was an excellent and friendly host and tried his best to resolve any issues arising. The bathrooms were clean and modern, providing plenty of hot water. The cooking facilities were very good and there was plenty of dining and leisure space for all present. It was very useful having barbecue facilities, which we used twice. The beds were very comfortable and Andrea very generously provided us with a cot for our grand-daughter in which she slept very well.

The most significant and annoying problem was an inadequate Wi-Fi setup. It was present, but could not connect to the internet at any time. This was inconvenient for accessing many local facilities, activities, restaurants and for streaming television programs. The fridge-freezer was not fully functional. The freezer worked, but the fridge didn't and we were only aware of this after a couple of days, so consequently lost perishable items. We had to then turn on the additional small fridge, which for eight people, was not enough. One double bedroom had no wardrobe or facilities for hanging clothes. The steps put in place for entering the pool were insecure and rusted in parts, so was a little concerning. The advert had mentioned the provision of toiletries in bathrooms, but there was, in fact, just a small amount of hand wash in some bathrooms.

Villa is spacious and really comfortable for bigger group. Well accomodated, there are everything what you need. if we will plan a trip in this area again, we will book again.

Lovely house right in village. Bus stop & shops 1 minute walk. Stefani is very helpful and responds to text quickly.

Nothing not to like. Its exactly as described. It would be helpful to have soap bathroom and kitchen basics like salt, oil etc.

The entire house was very tastefully decorated, some antique and original pieces and some new. A lovely comfortable sitting room and a traditional kitchen and dining room for you to share with other guests. A good place to stay if you are a group travelling together. Quiet and peaceful area overlooking a pretty village green. Andrea was very charming and told us the history of his family house.

Beware, there was no toilet paper! An essential for any guest house! The shower was one of those complicated showers that need an instruction manual. We could NOT get any hot water, not even in the sink which was a huge disappointment given that we had been travelling in hot weather and it really is an essential facility. Once Andrea had left, communication became difficult so we never actually got to have a shower and there was no Wi-fi information that we could find. There should be clear information given in the bedrooms regarding contact details, keys, Wi-fi, hot water etc. and simple instructions for shower use - all in several languages.
