Our property - ''Just Bluffing'' - is a great cottage with a fantastic unobstructed view of Wellfleet Harbor and Cape Cod Bay. Watch the boats come and go. Stroll the quiet sandy beach. Take a fifteen-minute walk along the beach over Uncle Tim's Bridge into downtown Wellfleet for the morning paper and a cup of coffee. Enjoy any of Wellfleet’s four beautiful ocean beaches, just 2 miles away! Bring along your kayak and paddle around in our beautiful protected harbor. Main floor: informal dining for 6, living room with Flat Screen, well-equipped kitchen, 2 colorfully decorated bedrooms 1 with bunk beds and the other with a full size bed. The first floor has a full bath with beadboard walls. Second floor: A new master suite with a queen bed and a full bath overlooking the Bay and Harbor; master bedroom has a private deck with 200+ degree vistas. “Just Bluffing” has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and sleeps 6 people.
Linens and towels are not provided, but can be arranged.

Nice quiet location in Wellfleet harbor. Enjoyed the sunset views and the tides coming in and out, saw some seals and my baby enjoyed collecting shells on the sand. The home itself is old and vintage for sure which I understand, but needs a deep cleaning and new coats of paint on everything which left the appearance of some areas a bit off-putting and neglected. We did have to bring our own sheets and towels which was fine but did take a lot of space in luggage so be aware of that policy- I guess it’s common in this area though you can rent them from a third party company which was an extra cost. Note that the master bedroom and other two bedrooms are on different floors which is a consideration if you have young children. There was a high chair available which was appreciated. Kitchen was stocked with dishes and had a dishwasher. The host was responsive via text.

Amazing water views especially from the master bedroom upstairs. This part of the cape has beautiful majestic blue water and sand dune filled beaches and terrific restaurants (visit the beach comber, 5 min away!) The house was comfortable and we were able to relax and enjoy cooking in and eating on the outdoor deck. The bayside beach behind the yard is quiet and easy to get to via a path beside the house.

We stayed at ‘Just Bluffing’ for almost 4 weeks July- August. The good news is that the view of the harbor from the cottage is spectacular from both downstairs and upstairs. Sunsets are amazing. A nearby path leads to a beach where we kept our kayaks. The downstairs bedrooms are small but serviceable. The kitchen is small but surprisingly well equipped, but no light or fan over the stove. Grill and outside shower are good. The not so good news is that the house is tired. The outside furniture needs updating. Air conditioning should not be listed as an amenity. There was none on the ground floor. The second floor master bedroom could be amazing, but instead was an oven during the afternoons with temperatures reaching the high 90s. The portable ‘air conditioner’ was not up to the job of cooling a room with a wall of floor to ceiling windows facing west. With a little effort this cottage could be great.
