About this cottage rental
Bright and airy 3 bedroom, 2 bath home (sleeps 6-7) with modern amenities just steps away from Acadia National Park trails & Seal Harbor beach. The house is on a quiet neighborhood street next door to Acadia NP. It has a new great room with fireplace that was added in 2017-18. The upstairs master bedroom has a queen bed and master bath with a claw foot bathtub. 2 bedrooms are on the first floor. One has a queen size bed. The children's room has a twin over full bunk bed. The first floor full bath has a tub/shower and washer & dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave & toaster. Enjoy sitting on the patio and taking an outdoor shower. Also included are internet wifi & local telephone, entertainment system, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, towels & bed linens. The house is conveniently located to Bar Harbor and Northeast Harbor, a 10 minute drive in either direction.
Seal Harbor beach and the carriage trails are an easy bike ride or walk from the house.
Jordan Pond is 1 mile away.
Information to all the activities the area has to offer in addition to shopping and restaurants is available.

Great location for hiking and access to Acadia National Park. House had a comfortable seating area to relax in. A few items to note that need to be improved on is the beds are extremely low to the ground and the mattress are very firm. No AC so upstairs does get pretty warm on warm days but does cool off if windows are left open in the evening. The biggest issue is the bedding and towels all smelled like they had been left in the washer overnight to a point where bedrooms smelled also.

The house is decorated beautifully. The downstairs living room is quite comfortable. Everything was in excellent condition.Five of us stayed here. The Wi-Fi would work intermittently and never for all five of us.As the listing says, there is a phone but only for local calls. We could make calls only using What's App, not with our regular cell service. Please note that the upstairs bathroom is a tub only. Therefore, the five of us had to take quick showers, or someone hose down in the tub. The listing is accurate about this but it was still quite inconvenient.The upstairs bed is low to the floor, with a single, somewhat thin mattress on a wooden platform. Therefore, getting out of it was not particularly easy. The location is fine if you have a car; if not, it's a 20 minute walk to catch the free Island Express around Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. It's also a short walk to a sometimes-open coffee shop and to the beach.
