Casa Carmina Hostel

There are so many places to relax and/or socialise, the garden is large, the security is good and the restaurant and bar leave you not needing to go elsewhere It's run by the daughter and her mother (who's in charge of the dinner and breakfast). There is real heart and beauty to this place.

Only the fact that the gates open at 15.00. I realised having stayed, that it's only because they're investing everything to making the place even better and can not take on the staff to manage the period between leavers and arrivals.

Lovely large private room, on the camino. Big garden with tables and chairs, sinks to hand wash clothes, and washing lines in the garden. Burger menu in the evening and I think I had one of the best burgers of my life there! Absolutely delicious. Breakfast included in the private room rate. Staff were all lovely.

The price was higher than we normally pay. Pegs for the washing line would have been so useful as it was so windy the clothes didn't stay on the line. There was no door between bedroom and bathroom.

Stylish design, comfortable bed. Breakfast included. Good smoothies. Pleasant breakfast staff in morning.

Booked room with terrace but no rooms have a terrace, incorrect room description. Price to quality not justified. As a hostal, clothes line provided for drying hikers clothes, but no pegs to stop clothes blowing off line. Asked if i could borrow peg, refused as the owners have for their clothes only and apparently pegs are not provided for guests because the pegs go missing. Surprised, since it’s possible at other hostels and the minimal cost to provide compared to room price. Within room there is no door separating toilet/bathroom from bedroom. Shower has no door, water splashes out, flows on floor towards room door. Food is quite expensive and limited.
