Once you understood it was a homestay, the lack of facilities made sense. And staying with a family was interesting. The owner was extremely accommodating and even got us an electric tuk tuk with a lovely driver to take us on a grand tour of the Faizabad/Ayodha sites for a very reasonable price - and so saved on our legs and map reading!
It was a homestay which was not made clear in the Booking.com description so extremely difficult to find. And the facilities were therefore not as expected, had it been a hotel.
