Cheap for a reason

Host was friendly, accommodation was very clean

What is not clear before you arrive is that you are booking a room containing bed, kitchen area, shower & toilet with no separation. Certainly in the UK it would be illegal not to have a door between toilet & kitchen and I would assume it is the same in France. Access is via a wheelchair lift to the second floor, no staircase. Presumably in an emergency you lift an (unlabelled) trap door & descend a vertical ladder. It is hard to believe that this arrangement has been approved by the local fire department as there is no sign indicating how to get out and you are on the second floor with only an inaccessible velux window.

Very enjoyable stay. Warm welcome. Possibility to relax on the garden loungers.

The breakfast was very good and copious, and served on the patio, which was very plaisant. Excellent location with easy parking in the quiet street, and only 5 or 10 minutes walk from centre, and historical sites. The room was in fact a studio with a kitchen area sufficiently well equipped to facilitate a longer stay. The television was easy to use and the hot water in the shower came quickly. In spite of arriving much later than planned I felt very welcome, was helped with my luggage and was immediately provided with a bottle of water, and was asked if I needed something else. I got a beer and some biscuits!

There was nothing to complain about. However it would have been helpful to have a wall basket in the shower cubicle to place washing products.

Adequate for our needs - thanks to the lovely hosts.

We did not take breakfast although it was offered. Hosts were great, very friendly and despite the language barrier we were able to use a translator to communicate. Overall it met our needs for a one night stopover.

A peaceful and affordable countryside stay

I stayed in the Family studio, which was very spacious and included a well-equipped kitchenette, perfect for a short stay. Despite the slanted roof, the room felt open and comfortable. The location is calm and peaceful, set in a small countryside village, and the room offered a lovely view of the backside garden. The internet was reliable, and the host was exceptionally kind, hospitable, and helpful. The stay was also very reasonably priced.

While the room was clean, it felt a bit shabby and the design old-fashioned - for example, the trash bin pedal wasn’t working. Also, the bed had a top sheet instead of a duvet cover, which I personally found less comfortable.

The host qas the friendliest person and made our children and us feel so welcome. He made a lovely breakfast for us and so much effort to make sure that we were happy and comfortable. Beautiful clean property and gardens.

Good location for the town with lovely hosts

Good apartment with nice garden in an interesting historic small town. The hosts were lovely, very friendly, despite all conversation being conducted through Google translate!

Access to apartment on 2nd floor was only by lift, which was fine for us, but it was small and cramped and we wondered what would happen in case of fire . Apartment could do with a little more crockery and cutlery - especially a bottle opener!

The hosts were really lovely people. The room was an apartment with cooking facilities which made my travel affordable. Breakfast was of top quality with a view to a very beautiful garden. I really enjoyed talking with my hosts at breakfast time.

The room was built in the attic with only a skylight window which I couldn't open.

Bon séjour d'une nuit au RdC d'une maison avec joli jardin, mais prix trop élevé.

Nous avons eu la chambre au RdC, avec très jolie vue sur le jardin ( les autres locations sont à l'étage ). Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et mettent gratuitement à disposition les draps et les serviettes de toilette. La maison est à 10 mn à pied du centre ville et le village est superbe. Par contre, erreur Booking sur les vélos : il n'y en a pas.

L'entrée de la maison sépare la chambre de l'ensemble cuisine + salle d'eau-WC. Bien que tout le monde soit très discret, c'est un inconvénient et nous trouvons que le prix demandé était de ce fait trop élevé.

Le jardin est très agréable, il est possible d'y prendre le repas que l'on peut préparer soi-même avec les équipements mis à disposition. Un bon moment de détente à la campagne, tout en étant proche des services.
