About this apartment rental

South bank is a beautiful late Georgian ground floor garden flat over two floors, just 5 minutes walk from the town centre and opera house. It holds an elevated and leafy south facing position with views over the town and surrounding countryside. The flat has 2 spacious double bedrooms, one of which boasts a super king bed. It has recently been sympathetically refurbished to a high standard by the owners. This includes, an excellently equipped kitchen/diner with a separate equally well equipped utility/pantry, a lovely, spacious and comfortable sitting room with a large south facing picture bay window and all the style and grandeur that one maykitchen expect from a property of this era.

It’s a lovely property, really nicely furnished. The beds are comfy and it’s in walking distance from the centre of Buxton. We had a really nice break and would be happy to stay here again. There was just a couple of bits- the parking was on the street outside. There was no space available around the property. It wasn’t too much of a problem because the road outside doesn’t have restrictions. Also, it was lovely weather and would have been nice to sit outside but there wasn’t anywhere to sit, unless we used the concrete steps. I think these things ought to be described as such in the advert. Other than this, it was a splendid trip and lovely place to stay.

Absolutely lovely stay Everything you could wish for. Lovely period property Lounge sumptuous The main bedroom upstairs was super luxurious Although bedroom downstairs was a basement one it was also very quiet and comfortable Only a 10 minute walk to all attractions Went to St Moritz italian. We had a great stay in this lovely flat! The location is perfect - quiet at night but a very short stroll into Buxton town Centre, park etc. The flat is well equipped - two bathrooms was a bonus - and spacious. The weather was very hot so being able to open windows more easily would have been useful. We made use of the outdoor bench in the garden, which is a nice place to sit. Some paint on the bench and window frames plus a tidy up of the garden itself would make this an even bigger selling point for this excellent accommodation. A non-slip mat for the upstairs bathroom bath would be a suggestion, as it's quite slippery when wet/climbing in and out of the shower. Nothing major which couldn't be easily sorted to make this flat hard to beat!

We stayed at the property for weekend break with our family friends. Location is very good, superstores are nearby. 2 family can stay their easily with privacy and property got two bathrooms which I do not know when I booked it. Only thing I do not like is wifi connection its too bad, down stairs bedroom have no internet connection and the bed is not comfortable at all. Overall it’s a good stay

Lovely location, a quick run down the road to the town - big hill back up again. Gave 4 stars for the online listing as there was no milk or bread in the kitchen (under 'pantry items'). A good first holiday 'post'-pandemic, thank you.

We had such an enjoyable, albeit it brief stay in Harrogate, staying in this wonderful property. Communication with the host was perfect throughout. Everything is provided, the décor, fixtures and furnishings are definitely 5* and the location is perfect being just a gentle stroll to the town. Plenty of restaurants, pubs and decent shops, as well as the Opera House and Pavilion. We definitely recommend staying at this property.

Lovely clean apartment with spacious rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable and the living room was bright and tastefully decorated. Would have liked a dvd player in the living room but Netflix was a great substitute! Cosy downstairs bedroom & bathroom with much needed hot water bottles! Would have preferred the heating on for longer with it being winter. Overall a lovely apartment in a fantastic area. Definitely recommend :)

A spacious well equipped flat, situated in a quiet road, a short walk from the town centre. Ideal base for exploring the High Peaks by car. The windows in the main rooms seemed not to open, so the apartment was stuffy. We would have liked some fresh air to circulate, particularly important in Covid times. The pint of milk, loaf of bread and Prosecco were most welcome on our arrival.

Fab flat. So spacious and excellent location. Wonderful to be able to park right outside without needing to pay. Our only quibble is the noise from upstairs. We came away to get away from our own noise problems. Some sound proofing wouldn't go amiss. But overall we had a good time.

My self and my family including a young 2 year old had a wonderful stay in this beautIful apartment. The apartment was much larger than we expected and the location was fantastic. We loved that it was only a few minutes walk to the pavilion gardens where we had a lovely afternoon and only a 25 minute drive to the stunning Chatsworth house. Heather was amazing at responding to messages so promptly and very accommodating. She will forever be in my debt for finding a misplaced sentimental necklace I left behind. Thanks again for a perfect stay.

Could not be cleaner and more comfortable, have not slept so well for ages on wonderful bed linen. Perfect location, 5 minutes walk to town, parking outside in the road. Lovely characterful ground floor flat. One slight thing, the bathroom is very small and you have to climb in and out of the bath to shower. If you are not 100 mobile this could be a problem. An anti slip bath mat would help.
