The location was ok but far from the lively town and located on steep hills. We walked a few times and took a taxi after dinner one night. The downstairs of the apartment was great, roomy, beautiful and clean. The view from the balcony was every bit like the photos - AMAZING. The kitchen was very nice and fully stocked. We cooked one meal there. The bedroom on this floor was very roomy with a nice bathroom. There was an excellent air conditioner on this floor which we loved because it was very, very hot during our visit.

We are a couple, traveling with our friends, another couple. We needed a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom place and the Kybele seemed to fit the bill. The photos on booking.com looked wonderful. We liked most of what we had at the Kybele but we had several problems. The first problem was that the host did not contact us ahead of time with the entrance instructions. I had communicated with the host several weeks prior to arrival by WhatsApp so the lines of communication were already established, but when we arrived, there had been no instructions given. Luckily, our wonderful Turkish tour-guide, Ali, was able to call the host and obtain the lockbox instructions for our apartment. This solved our problem, but I was a bit taken aback when the host asked me how we were going to pay for the rental. I had paid the amount fully, through BOOKING.COM, in December 2024 (!) and it was now July, 7 months later! Anyway, this did not turn out to be an issue. The 2nd problem was the second floor, which contained the second bedroom and bathroom. The ceiling was about 5 feet high and this was not disclosed in the booking.com description. Since I am 6 feet tall and my husband is 6 feet 2 inches, this proved to be a challenge, for sure. We had to walk bent over the whole time we were up there and there were plenty of head bumps. The bathroom was the same way and the shower had no wall or curtain and water went everywhere. It was also slippery and we walked carefully in order to not fall. Since we are grandparents, this was a slight challenge but we made it through our visit without a fall. Getting up in the night to visit the toilet was also tricky. But the air conditioning in this bedroom was great. The bed was comfortable but low to the floor and this was also very tricky to manage for us grandparents! I would caution anyone to be sure they understand which apartment they are getting when they reserve at the Kybele.
