About this villa rental
"Villa Sofia" is a 2-storey vacation house, completely renovated, in front of the sea, just on the sandy Ionian coast, in Kanali village, about 12 klm north of the City of Preveza, on the North-West Greek coast. the Sandy beach is 50 steps from the house.
The house stays in the midle off a wonderful garden of 1500 square meters, with grass and trees offering lot of shadow corners .
It has two floors.
Upper floor is the main bedroom, with a A/C, a bathroom and an open loft with a double bed. If needed, the loft can easily provide elementary visual isolation with 4 sliding curtains. Thus four adults can be accommodated in the first floor of the building.
On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher), a dining area and a small WC . Two steps further down is the Living room, (with fireplace, TV and a double sofa-bed), leading out onto the garden and the raised courtyard with pergola and a built-in barbecue.
There is also a separate guest house with a double bed and an in-suite bathroom with shower. It has an A/C, entrance from the garden and may accommodate two more persons
The BBQ area is awesome and you will enjoy grilling fresh fish or souvlaki almost every night. Dinner outside is a must, and usually there are no mosquitos to bother you.
Courtyards with plant-cover shadow sittings and a covered area for rainy days.
In the back gardens there is a small melon field which supply the family and guests with salads of the season.
The part available for rental, comprised of the main building, the guest house, the paved courtyard, the patio with the built sitting area and BBQ, and the front garden (towards the sea). Has its entrance from the coastal road.
At walking distance some nice small taverns and 'cafe' in the beach front, a village with market place, and a water-park very joyful for the kids (at 5 min walk)
2 bicycles are available free for easy access to the village and surrounding countryside walks ...

We had an absolutely brilliant time at villa Sofia, a beautifully tended and equipped property, owned by the lovely Christos.
We arrived by taxi and Chris was there to show us the facilities of the villa and even drove us around the village to point out the supermarket, bakers, butchers and recommended tavernas.
We were then left for the week to enjoy the property's fantastic outdoor spaces, beach at the end of the beautiful garden and the bars/tavernas within a few minutes walk. We used the available bike to cycle to the supermarket for provisions and everything we needed for a relaxing break was all within a 15 minute walk. We enjoyed the privacy, but reassured that Chris was only a phone call, text or email away, which was very useful in helping us book the return taxi from another local resident!
A truly wonderful property in a part of Greece that is still relatively untouched by tourism and I'm sure we'll be back to re-live the experience. Perfect... 😎

After a week in Kanali, I can assure that the house exceeded my high expectations. Everything (the house, the garden, the sea, the area) was much better than photos. Also, the owners were very willing to help and friendly. I highly recommend Villa Sofia

Warm hospitality, beautiful home with all amenities,full ecqieped and perfectly clean. But the best part was the large garden, planted with beautifull flowers, comfortable and safe for children ,and with a great outdoors living room. The weatherwas warm, the sea was calm, and a spacious sandy beach in front of the house,…. what else to ask for a perfect holiday??
