About this apartment rental
Located in the heart of southern Lancaster County and conveniently situated at the crossroads of the very popular and scenic routes 222 and 272. Here you are surrounded by authentic Amish country and wide open spaces. Come and relax in this newly renovated and spacious apartment. Each room is decorated in farmhouse decor with a subtle collection of hand-painted antique dressers and cute finds. Cook a quick meal with produce from the local farmers in a fully equipped kitchen or even wash those dirty play clothes from your busy day's adventures. Sit out under the large walnut trees as the wind blows while watching the farmers farm the hillside or have a catch in the large open yard. At night settled down after a BBQ and gather around the fire pit with friends and family.
Take a beautiful drive north through the rolling hills of farm country and you can visit Lancaster County's Premium Outlet stores and the surrounding attractions like SIght and Sound Theaters, American Music Theater, and go exploring in the cute towns of Intercourse and Bird in Hand, Pa. A very short travel south and you'll be sitting on the shores of the Susquehanna River while visiting historic towns like Port Deposit, Maryland or even the bay in North East, Maryland. Bring your boat along and park it with ease in our large parking area. Don't forget those binoculars for a quick visit to the Conowingo Damn for bird watching along the river. Stop and visit the Conowingo pool while enjoying hilltop views of the Susquehanna River. Baltimore is just a little over an hour from this location as well as Philadelphia. Other places like the gorgeous Longwood Gardens and a fun day at Yogi Bear Jellystone Waterpark are within 20-40 minutes away.

This was our first VRBO experience so we don't have much to compare it to but have had several Air B& B stays and were much more satisfied at them. This VRBO did not mention on it's website that it is currently under renovations, so only had one way to enter the house and there were no railings on uneven steps; did not provide basic amenities such as tissues, more than one roll of toilet paper, or a TV with instructions on how to use. When we asked, we were told we needed to use our own log in to access streaming services, which we did not feel comfortable doing, and couldn't even get local channels to monitor potential storms that were approaching. Also, there were no hand rails on the entry stairs.
