About this house rental
A newly renovated, 119 sq meters, house located in Hvalfjordur with a great scenery over both mountains and the ocean. Close to major tourist attractions such as Húsafell and Glymur (Iceland’s highest waterfall) while the Golden Circle, Langjökull & Snæfellsnes are all within reasonable driving distance.
The place is located only 20 minutes by car from Akranes, where one can find all necessities, tourist information and other general service, 30 minutes from Borgarnes and only a short 45 minute drive from the capital, Reykjavík.
In close vicinity to the house you can find an outdoor swimming pool and two of the best golf courses in the country. The northern lights (aurora borealis) can be seen from the house and the comforts of the newly installed (geothermal) hot tub.

Very charming home with a great view. Clean, modern with all of the necessary amenities. It even smelled like clean linen when we walked in the door. Very short drive to the Haamvick hot springs and the glymur waterfall hike. Sorry we couldnt stay longer. If we ever make it back we would like to stay there again.

This house is the perfect base to discover the area of western and southern Iceland. The spot is fantasic at the Hvalfjördur. The house has everything you need and the owners Bára & Vili are great and do support wherever they can!
