The hotel was in the new nicest area of Birmingham, away from the city centre which is very unwelcoming and to be avoided other than to visit the civil rights institute and little else. There is a very nice shopping mall near the property (a few minutes by car) with good restaurants and shops (and it is safer than Birmingham, which isn't).
Nothing in particular. It's a practical hotel for a stopover. Rooms were spacious and comfy without being luxurious.

Kids running around upstairs kept us up all night. Bed was not comfortable and too low to the ground. Came at 4pm to check in and told no rooms were ready. Check in time starts at 4pm.
