Really disappointing. Just run down and not worth the price we paid. Afytos is nice though.

We liked that it was an easy stroll into Afytos at night which has a lot of options for dining and shopping. We also found the manager, Ifigenia, to be really nice and personable, always offering suggestions to where we could go to explore.

So disappointed with Casa Afytos. For a rate of more than 250 euros per night we expected a lot more. The room was very basic. No special design features/no nice towels or effort with design. It is a small complex of about 20 small bungalow style rooms that surround a shallow pool. It is located close to the centre of Afytos on the main road into Afytos but right next to a children's play centre that is full of screaming children at night. It isn't a picturesque location at all. Sunloungers were all stained and in poor condition. Breakfast - a really basic 2 star hotel offering. No fresh bread and a dismal buffet - so we went to the local bakers each day to buy nicer items. Such a shame when Greece has so many delights to offer. You definitely need a car as it would be a long walk to a beach. We also had no WI-FI in our room for the duration of our stay. An extender was fitted in our room on the last day. I really don't like to write a bad review but I also rely on reviews when booking my own vacations so want to be honest about my stay at Casa Afytos. I would not recommend this accommdation at all.

Great location

Everything is great here, a stylish accomodation like Melrose Place from the movie. The rooms, surrounding the yard, are combining the modern and industrial stiles, in an interesting harmony. Very comfortable place to stay. The pool and the sunbathing area, the arbusts, the flowers, the music, creates a chill and relaxing feeling. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is warm and helpfull.

A modern oasis of peace. Love it!

We LOVED everything! Such a beautiful and peaceful place. It feels like a little luxury resort. It’s well organised to meet all of your needs, the industrial-boho rooms are perfect for rest, it’s very clean and comfortable. The beautiful pool is right in front of your door, the breakfast is delicious with a nice variety of different dishes, the staff is friendly and welcoming. 10/10

Pefkon - charming place to stay

We were moved onto a sister hotel Pefkon due to some technical issues which we were informed about in advance. Lovely location surrounded by trees and lovely view of the sea but must have a car to reach the area which we did so it was no problem for us to explore around. Lovely pool deck in the garden, room was comfortable and breakfast was including the basics. Around 5 minutes away from the buzzing town of Afytos by car. Would not mind staying here again!

Breakfast beverages/ juices could be improved and wifi connection was not as strong at times.

Perfect habitat :) ! Very cozy, relaxed and quiet environment. Room was exceptionally clean! Staff was super polite and helped us to get to know local places of Afytos, suggested local restaurants, cafes and other places we should visit. Definitely will visit again if coming to Afytos :) !

Casa Afytos exceeds high expectations

Casa Afytos is a mini resort style place located 5 min form town center. The setting of stone houses placed around a central pool with a rich flower garden provides a good and relaxed ambiance. We enjoyed the rooms made in rustic stone house style, very comfortable with an impressive attention to detail. Our Deluxe Jr. Suite had a private mini pool, a fantastic bathroom and everything was very clean and spotless. The place is managed by George who is very positive and committed to make your stay a good one. Your first daily coffee on the porch near the pool with the morning Sun on you, surrounded by the flower fragrance will make you feel good and that will stay with you for a while. This is a good place.

Great location 5 mins walk from the main town and 15-20 mins to the main afytos beach, Liosi beach is much closer. Breakfast was continental nice and simple. George at the reception had great knowledge and was super helpful! Great host! The rooms are all ground floor and look into the pool area.

Bad

the pool

After I took the room I was very disappointed, because of the mess, as you can see in other reviews, but I didn’t have the chance to check properly as I was in transit and I stayed only 2 days. I tried also to cancel the room, but I didn’t had the chance from the application. Also we arrived after 7pm Local time and the reception is closed after 7pm. In the next day I have explain the situation to reception guy and also I told him there is water in the room from shower cabin/bathroom which mean the room was not cleaned before we arrived. In the trash we found also absorbents used by the woman with blood and other stuff from previous trip. I was very upset with this “Casa Afythos house”. In the second day I asked the reception guy to clean the room and they entered with footwear and without mask ignoring COVID rules. Another comment is the reception guy ignore me as he think is normal to have the mess. The breakfast was very poor, 2-3 types of cheese and salami, eggs, the bread was very old. Also the ‘fresh’ juice kept in the refrigerator for few days which is not normal. After I put first review on the booking George(the Manager) called me to remove my comment because he wasn’t there at that moment, and ask me to remove my review and he will return my money back, and George also tried to apologize on behalf on casa Ayhos staff . I said that I’m ok with this but he need to improve some things on the ‘casa Aftyhos’ because is not normal for other guest. Then after few days he didn’t answer on the phone/email which left me the feeling that is a liar. I called also the booking and explained that from my point of view is not normal to have pictures with the building when is new and the pictures should be updated at least every 6 months or 1 year to make sure the reality is reflected on the website.

Good place to stay in Afytos

Location is good. Only 10 minutes walking from the center of the town where all restaurants and shops are. The staff in the hotel are really friendly and helpful. And the pool is quite conveniently located in the center of the hotel.

If you're unlucky as we were and there was a rain the parking next to the hotel becomes a swamp so it can get really dirty on the way to/from your car. On top of that although they clean rooms every day there is still some sand left on the floor so you would better use slippers when inside.

Breakfast is the same everyday and not too much to choose from. There was little room for clothes. The staff let technician into our room to make the overhaul of the air conditioner. All the mess from the air conditioner was on our clothes, drinks and snacks. They should have announced us before and they should have cleaned up the mess. They did not announced us even after we came back to our room. Total lack of proffesionalism. They gave us a discount but....
