About this house rental
This property was built in1869 and was the St. Luke’s Hospital for a short time. It was in terrible shape when we purchased it so unfortunately nothing could be salvaged in the interior of the house but most of the exterior is original. We purchased the home in 2003 and completely remodeled the interior with all modern conveniences. There are three comfortable bedrooms. The bathrooms are one full with a claw foot tub and a half bath off the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped that any cook would enjoy. The large patio outside has a great sitting area to relax and appreciate the view or you can sit on the front porch among the Aspen trees.
The house is located on a quiet dead end street but you are only a 5 minute walk to the Casinos or Opera House in Central City. There is off street parking which is a huge plus since the roads are narrow and steep in places.
Loveland and Eldora Ski resorts are a 30 minute drive. But be sure to see if Central City is having any of their fun festivals going on by just going to their website for a calendar of events and you can walk down to them and enjoy with no driving hassle.
Please be respectful of our home. We have beautiful antiques and want your stay to be amazing. It is not at all a party house and we have neighbors close by.
This is also NOT a pet friendly home so please respect that for our guest who have allergies.

The location is excellent, and the house is nice. It's a great place to stay if you're going to Black Hawk or Central City.

I can't say enough good things about this place and the owner Tracy. WOW!! She was beyond accommodating and responsive to our needs especially during Snowmaggedon 2021 when our flights were cancelled twice and we had to scramble to make arrangements. She went above and beyond. When we finally were able to make the trip, we were greeted by a beautiful historic home, VERY clean, comfortable and inviting. The view from the porch is amazing! Pictures don't do it justice. We got up early several mornings to watch the sunrise. We also saw a red fox pass by several times just outside the patio door. It snowed every day while we were there (March 21-24) but the roads were plowed regularly so no problem getting in & out. We loved everything about the home, the antiques, the history books, and the wood burning fireplace. Thank you Tracy for sharing your family's home with us. We will be back again in the future.
