About this house rental
Pentillie Castle is set on the Cornish banks of the River Tamar. Though peaceful and secluded, Pentillie Castle is the perfect country venue to use as a base to explore the west country… Sandy beaches, Dartmoor National Park, championship golf courses and quintessential Cornish villages are all within a short drive.
If looking for an exclusive wedding location, to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary, or simply gather your family and friends together, Pentillie provides the perfect setting for the most memorable experience!
Offering individually styled bedrooms with spectacular views, all first-floor rooms look across the River Tamar and over to Devon or of the historic gardens. Our ground floor bedroom has a wet room facility to enable disabled access. Most bedrooms can be twinned if requested.
Guests have use of the AGA kitchen to cook their meals or dine alfresco using the BBQ with outdoor seating on the terrace overlooking the River Tamar.
Spend summer days relaxing by the outdoor swimming pool, which is open year-round and solar-heated during the warmer months. In winter, it becomes a refreshing cold plunge, perfectly complemented by our eight-person sauna. One hour sauna sessions available for £80.
On cooler evenings, unwind in the Drawing Room beside the large open fire, or keep entertained in the games room with a widescreen TV, billiards, table tennis and a dartboard.
Guests can explore the 55 acres of woodland gardens with a variety of walks around the estate, including paths down to the picturesque Bathing Hut on the quay or up to Sir James Tillie's mysterious mausoleum.
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome to stay in one of our three dog-friendly bedrooms.
Additional services, including catering, housekeeping and concierge, can be arranged in advance of your stay.
