Our area, while affected by the recent storm that hit western NC, is open and functioning! Skiing season is starting as normal and all seasonal restaurants and other local attractions are open! Hillcrest is in excellent condition. Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Linville Ridge Country Club in the enchanting North Carolina mountains, this five-bedroom mountain retreat is a true haven for those seeking an unforgettable escape. With the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 13 guests, this home exudes both elegance and functionality.
As you arrive, you'll be greeted by the rustic charm of this meticulously designed mountain getaway. The exterior boasts a cozy outdoor fire pit surrounded by ample seating, making it the ideal spot for storytelling and stargazing under the Carolina night sky.
Stepping inside, you'll be welcomed by a spacious interior that seamlessly combines modern amenities with traditional mountain charm. The five beautifully appointed bedrooms offer a tranquil night's rest, while the open-concept living area with its stone fireplaces invite you to unwind and enjoy each other's company.

In the heart of Linville Ridge Country Club in the Blue Ridge Mountains this mountain retreat not only offers a peaceful escape but also provides access to a wealth of amenities including golf, dining, spa, gym and tennis are available through temporary membership to the club. Located on the 17th fairway at Linville Ridge, it offers 5 bedrooms, a den with pullout sofa, 6 bathrooms and 2 large living areas on both floors. Grandfather Mountain is visible from both outdoor covered porches. Large trees surround the property. The downstairs area offers a large jacuzzi hot tub, ping pong, game system and is adjacent to the expansive lawn for croquet, bocce ball, chippo or horsehoes. Inside, there are 2 large stone fireplaces and 5 flat screen TVs on both levels. There is and outdoor firepit (firewood provided) and deck with adirondack chairs as well as a full house generator in the event of power outages.
Linville is near the town of Banner Elk, 15 minutes from Boone and 30 minutes from Blowing Rock. Hundreds of hiking trails, including the famous Grandfather Mountain Profile Trail, and waterfalls inhabit the surrounding area. The house is a 10-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and all it has to offer, including Grandfather Mountain State Park, the wildlife preserve and the famous "Swinging Bridge" where the views are spectacular. The area further offers whitewater rafting, bicycle adventures, ziplining and fly fishing. Tweetsie Railroad is a 20 minute drive. Elevation at the house is near 5000 feet so temperatures in the summer are cool. Enjoy the beautiful covered porch by day and by night. This home is perfect for large families. This was one of the best stays we've had in recent memory. The property is beautiful, perfectly located, and the entire experience extremely well managed. The communication with the property owner/ manager was incredible; from having firewood delivered to trash pickup when the roads were snow covered. The house is extremely well stocked with high end furnishings; quality kitchen essentials and cozy living and dining areas. The bathrooms were clean and luxurious. Check-in and out was well-explained. The owner/ manager was so well organized that there was a binder with check-in/ out instructions, nearby restaurants, restaurants that deliver to the area, and even instructions for the hot tub. We could not have had a better experience. I highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed!

We had a home in the area until 2017 from 1973. We felt like we came home in your home, which is beautiful and fully equipped for entertaining We felt so welcome as we opened the door to all the holiday decorations
I loved setting the table every night differently. My granddaughter who is a master baker found almost everything she needed to create her creations.
Your home has an amazing view. We enjoyed a glass of wine looking out at amazing sunsets. We look forward to coming back to use the fire pit and hot tub.
There was ample tables to play games in front of roaring fires making memories. The decor is inviting and comfortable.
We thank you for making everything welcoming & seamless.

We had a great stay at Hillcrest for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The house is very spacious with plenty of room for our group of 9 to spread out. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked for holiday cooking and had everything you could possibly need to cook for a large group. The host was very helpful and the instructions were crystal clear. Linville Ridge is a beautiful neighborhood. With the golf course being closed for the season, we were able to walk the entire course (the highest golf course east of the Mississippi).The house is a quick drive to Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk and Grandfather Mountain, and convenient to Boone & Blowing Rock. We were able to spend some time huddled in the house (with wood fireplaces) and still got to enjoy the area for shopping and dinners. We highly recommend the house and location.

Our extended family spent Thanksgiving at Hillcrest and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The property is well appointed, very clean, and has every amenity. The owner promptly answered all of my questions both prior to and during our stay. As an avid cook, I usually find rental kitchens Ill equipped, but this spacious kitchen made preparing Thanksgiving dinner easy. The owner provided firewood, making it easy to enjoy both the wood burning fireplace and outdoor fire pit. I highly recommend this property
