Comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

Access was easy based on emailed instructions. This is not a serviced hotel but an apartment in a small building, so one is on their own, which was fine for me. I was in the attic unit, which required going to one flight of stairs to access the entrance and two more to access the unit - not a problem for me but not suitable for those with mobility challenges.

It’s a short walk to two restaurants on the same side of the river and there are several other restaurants accessible by a bridge to the other side of the river. But be forewarned, Germans close their kitchens early in the evening!

Fab small apartment in the other side of the river (so lovely and quiet) with easy walk over pedestrians bridge into town. Very comfortable, plenty of hot water and very clean - would stay again

Nice small apartment for an overnight or longer stay.

Room/apartment was well furnished with everything we needed for an overnight stopover on our bike tour of the Mosel, Kitchen included utensils, dishes, etc., which was a nice surprise and allowed us to easily self-cater breakfast the day we left. Although the host/owner is not onsite (I assume), they provided clear directions on how to access the house, bike garage, etc. A contact number was provided for any issues or questions, but we didn't have to use it. Plenty of room for bicycle storage in a locked garage attached to (under) the house. Easy walk to the main part of Zell, across the river via a pedestrian bridge (requires going up and down a hill though). Quiet, residential area.

There's not much around the house except for other houses. For restaurants, groceries, etc., you have to go across the river to the main tourist part of Zell. There is a small convenience store across the river for basic groceries, but "real" grocery stores are challenging to get to without a vehicle. No option for breakfast, although the room had a kitchen. We bought some yogurt and muesli at the convenience store across the river and just self-catered breakfast. There was coffee already in the room and a coffee maker (not sure if they always provide coffee or if a previous renter left it). If you have a vehicle (car) there is no parking available at or near the house; you'll have to park kind of far away in a public lot or street and walk back.

A great place to stay in the Mosel Valley

New freshly repaired and decorated guesthouse, very clean, with nice and helpful hosts ready to address any concern. Excellent value for money! Our room was spacious with a comfy bed, and a separate kitchen equipped with an induction cooktop, which boils water within seconds and a microwave, there were also salt pepper, sugar and some other stuff, so we were able to cook home meals. The wi-fi was efficient enough for video-calls though we stayed on the highest floor. The code doors are also very convenient to check in and check out. We had a parking space in front of the guesthouse, there is also a bicycle rack. The location is very good and practical, just in the middle of the area with the most beautiful places of the Mosel valley! Convenient to see charming but noisy and overcrowded Cohem, close enough to Traben-Trarbach and Bernkastel-kues and even within a reasonable distance from Trier and Luxembourg. Zell itself is a beautiful town with a huge commercial area uphill, several minutes away from the guesthouse, with supermarkets, drugstores, a hospital etc. The town center is 10 minutes away across the river, but it’s much more convenient to live on this side of the river, where the Maximilian house is situated, because the town center is really noisy at weekends with loud music till late at night and the views are much better. Besides there is a rather long and quiet public walk with benches.

Very welcoming hosts and a great location in Kaimt

The hosts were so helpful. We were even given a lift to the hospital on our first morning not knowing how to get there or where to get a taxi. The room was small but perfectly adequate. Lots of extras like fans which were necessary since it was very hot ! Coffee, tea and coffee filters all there. Plus cleaning supplies and toiletries.

The only thing we would have liked would have been somewhere to sit outside. But it's only a 2 minute walk to the river which has seats and shade - and local wine producers and sellers

Aktiver Kurzurlaub zur mentalen Erholung

Die Ausstattung war klasse, alles was wir gebraucht haben war da und noch mehr. Eine gepflegte Unterkunft, wo man sich wie zu Hause fühlt. Gute Lage, fussläufig sind Restaurants und die Fußgängerbrücke erreichbar.

Etwas harte Matratzen, aber das ist Typ Sache.

Leider sehr enttäuschend, Preis nicht gerechtfertigt

Wir hatten insgesamt drei Apartments gemietet. Der erste Eindruck war ok, nicht sehr einladend und auch nicht gemütlich, aber für ein Wochenende genug. Was sofort auffiel, war der muffige Geruch im ganzen Haus. Die Handtücher sowohl im Bad als auch in der Küche rochen zudem so sehr nach altem Schweiß, dass man diese kaum benutzen konnte. Zudem gab es überall lange schwarze Haare. Die Küche mit Kaffeemaschine und kleinem Kühlschrank, aber ohne Backofen und mit nur einer externen Herdplatte nur dürftig ausgestattet. Betten waren gemütlich, aber leider roch die Bettwäsche wie die Handtücher. Insgesamt also ein sehr großer Reinfall. Haus ist zudem super hellhörig.

Eine Erfahrung mehr..

Die fußläufige Nähe zur Mosel und der Fußgängerbrücke zur anderen Moselseite in Zell. Durchgel und Haarshampoo waren vorhanden. Einlass mit Codenummern war gut.

Wir haben von den Bildern der Beschreibung eine größere Wohnung erwartet. Schlafraum samt Fernseher, Küchenzeile, Esstisch mit zwei Stühlen ohne Tür zum Flur in einem. Recht dunkel und niedrig unterm Dach. Badezimmer roch muffig, die Handtücher ebenso. Die Sauberkeit war mittelmäßig. Ebenso beim Geschirr und Besteck. Staubmäuschen unterm Bett u.a.

Die Betten waren bezogen, es gab Handtücher. ...

Zimmer mit allereinfachsten, allerbilligsten und teilweise abgeranzten Möbeln. Bad und Toilette sind winzig in einem Dachschrägen"zimmer" abgeteilt. Das ganze Haus inklusive der Zimmer durchdrang ein Geruch nach billigem süßem Ältere-Herren-After-shave. Der Besitzer versteht und spricht kein Deutsch. Man hört aus den Zimmern rundum die Fliegen furzen...so hellhörig ist es. Fernsehempfang über Satellit möglich, wenn man im richtigen Winkel mit der Fernbedienung oben vor dem Empfangsbereich rumfuchtelt. Nachts war das Wasser warm, morgens nicht mehr. Wir haben das Zimmer fluchtartig vor dem check-out verlassen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ein Witz. 102 € bezahlten wir, es hätte für Menschen, die sparen möchten und Abstriche machen, jedoch 40 € nicht überschreiten dürfen.Wir wollten diese Abstriche nicht machen und haben für den Preis wesentlich Besseres erwartet. Für uns war diese Nacht an der Mosel, für die wir in der Not (weil alles ausgebucht war) dieses Appartement gebucht hatten, eine Katastrophe. Morgens beim Auschecken trafen wir andere "Verzweiflungsbucher", die noch unzufriedener waren. Wahrscheinlich lebt das Haus von Verzweiflungsbuchern und nicht von Wiederholungsbuchern. Man kann das Appartement NICHT von innen verschließen!!! Es ist absolut nicht geeignet als Unterkunft für alleinreisende Frauen.

Nicht zu empfehlen

Die Lage war ganz gut. Das Bett war gut. Es gab ein paar schöne Deko Elemente.

Es war nicht richtig sauber. Die Fenster ließen sich nicht richtig öffnen und man konnte nicht rausgucken. Eigentlich hätte es einen tollen Ausblick gegeben, aber wir konnten nicht davon sehen. Wir waren im Apartment 6 ganz oben. Einiges war sehr liebevoll gestaltet aber der bauliche Zustand war entweder alt oder schnell und unprofessionell hingepfuscht. DAS APPARTEMENT IST NICHT ZU EMPFEHLEN!

Bon emplacement et bon rapport qualité-prix

Simple et propre, excellent qualité-prix pour la région. Le logement est situé dans une rue calme et il est possible de se garer gratuitement en bord de Moselle, à moins de 100 mètres. Le climatiseur mobile était efficace (quoique un peu bruyant). La passerelle piétonne qui mène au centre-ville de Zell sur l'autre rive est toute proche.

Peu d'espace en rue dans les faits pour s'arrêter pour décharger les bagages ; la règle communiquée par WhatsApp par le propriétaire était pourtant claire : ne stationner devant la maison que pendant le temps nécessaire pour décharger ses bagages, et ensuite aller garer son véhicule plus bas au long de la Moselle (gratuit) ; mais j'ai constaté que d'autres résidents ne respectaient pas cela

Das Dachfenster Richtung Mosel ist mit Schichtschutzfolie bedeckt, undicht und ging nicht auf. Der Ablauf der mobile Klimaanlage war an einer Flasche angebunden die regelmäßig geleert werden müsste.

Passende (Gruppen-)Unterkunft für unser Wanderwochenende

. Wir haben als Gruppe mit neun Personen das verlängerte Wochenende Anfang Mai hier verbracht, somit hatten wir fast alle Zimmer belegt. 😊 Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und erhielten für jedes Zimmer den Code persönlich ausgehändigt. Die Verständigung war etwas schwierig (was mir im Vorfeld auf Grund der Bewertungen schon klar war), aber sie klappte. 👍 Ein Bäcker ist knapp zehn Minuten zu Fuß über die Brücke entfernt, so dass wir jeden Morgen auch frische Brötchen hatten. In der Küche war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. TOP! 👍 Es gab von keinem von uns, der mit der Unterkunft nicht zufrieden war. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, wenn ich wieder in die Zell Urlaub machen möchte. Besonders zu erwähnen, da ich gerne abends Nachrichten sehe, war, dass hier - was eher ungewöhnlich ist - eine Liste mit den Kanälen und den Fernsehsendern im Zimmer lag. Das ist ein toller Service Vielen Dank und alles Gute.
