About this cottage rental
Location, location location!!! The boardwalk to the beach is about a minute walk. There is no busy intersection to cross to get to the water. This cottage is a short walk to popular restaurants such as the Sugar Shack, Agave Bar and Grill, Sundae Cafe and the Back River Brewery (live entertainment available many evenings). There are also surfing shops, convience stores and ATMs within walking distance. Built in 1920, this cottage is one story. Unloading belongings is a cinch with only three steps to get in the front door. This spacious 1800 square feet home exudes charm. The family room is uncrowded and can comfortably accommodate more than 10 people. Cable and wifi is included. There are 3 full size bedrooms. The queen bedroom has a master bathroom attached. There is a large closet and dresser. The king bedroom has ample room and a beautiful wood planked ceiling. The third bedroom has a full over full bunk bed and a twin trundle underneath, an excellent room for all the kids. The main bathroom has a bathtub and shower. There is also a half bath. The kitchen is open to the dining room. The dining room table can comfortably sit 10 guests. The charm of a 1950's kitchen is still there, but with all the modern conveniences. This cottage even has a separate laundry room with a full size washer and dryer with steam cycle. As if it couldn't get any better, there is a large, shaded fenced in backyard with a fireplace and gas grill. Great for kids and dogs.

Never booked on line before. Im too old for that. All worked out well but will have someone else book next time. Place was just what we needed. Clean, plenty of room and location was great.

Great location. 2min walk to the beach, restaurants and stores.The cottage was nice and well stocked. The beds were comfortable, and the AC works really well. The hostess was very responsive.

Clean Spacious Home!Very close to the beach!We were happy to be able to find things easily in the house due to things being labeled. There was more things provided for you in this home compared to others I've stayed at, like pot, pans, towels, toilet paper and other minor things you can easily forget.Highly recommend! Thanks for the great stay!

Our family had mixed feelings about this rental. Pros: great location- very short walk to the beach and also to stores and restaurants, plenty of towels in baths and kitchen, A/C works great, plenty of hot water, hand soap/dish soap/clothes detergent all provided, good array of kitchen appliances, comfortable beds, fun foosball table!Cons: much of the furniture/fixtures are broken (doors fall off of cabinets, lamps unstable and fall easily when turning them on/off, broken drawers, base of bathroom cabinet falls onto your feet when you touch it, storm door just swings open without a tether and when you try to catch it the door knob comes off in your hand, etc), there is a fair amount of sand on the floor (I know, it's a beach place), the floors are somewhat slanted, the parking pad is tricky to get a car in/out of. This is a very old house, and it's obvious that it has had some additions made over time. Some of the additions, though adding value, seem a little awkward, and this is something that is hard to appreciate in the listing photos. Also, with the additions, there are several places where thresholds between rooms require stepping up or down where you would not expect it. Though we could deal with that, it might be hard for toddlers or others who are not as steady on their feet. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Tybee, but the rental was just OK.
