About this cottage rental
Location, location location!!! The boardwalk to the beach is about a minute walk. There is no busy intersection to cross to get to the water. This cottage is a short walk to popular restaurants such as the Sugar Shack, Agave Bar and Grill, Sundae Cafe and the Back River Brewery (live entertainment available many evenings). There are also surfing shops, convience stores and ATMs within walking distance. Built in 1920, this cottage is one story. Unloading belongings is a cinch with only three steps to get in the front door. This spacious 1800 square feet home exudes charm. The family room is uncrowded and can comfortably accommodate more than 10 people. Cable and wifi is included. There are 3 full size bedrooms. The queen bedroom has a master bathroom attached. There is a large closet and dresser. The king bedroom has ample room and a beautiful wood planked ceiling. The third bedroom has a full over full bunk bed and a twin trundle underneath, an excellent room for all the kids. The main bathroom has a bathtub and shower. There is also a half bath. The kitchen is open to the dining room. The dining room table can comfortably sit 10 guests. The charm of a 1950's kitchen is still there, but with all the modern conveniences. This cottage even has a separate laundry room with a full size washer and dryer with steam cycle. As if it couldn't get any better, there is a large, shaded fenced in backyard with a fireplace and gas grill. Great for kids and dogs.

Didn’t realize one bedroom was with bunk beds. We were older adults and more of a challenge to sleep. Otherwise very spacious and great location.

The house is very close to beach access as well as dining and shopping. Typical of some older properties, this house has its quirky side. Many threshold are step ups/downs including a big step to the living room which can have challenges for small kids or people with mobility issues. Some of the aspects of the house are dated or in need of some minor repairs. The one concern was dirty floors which was addressed to the owner who apologized and said it would be rectified before the next guest. They did provide a partial refund for the floor concerns. The kitchen was well stocked and there were beach toys as well as kids pool table and a full sized foos ball table. Internet seemed spotty which we presume is an issue on the island overall. The property was quiet at night. Owner was very good at communication before and during the stay.

It was good great location was a little hot in house when we got there took whole day before we were comfortable.Does have a large step down to one of the rooms for older people.Had to fix the TV because it was not connected properly.
