Mediterranean stone house

The house is very quiet and private - tucked away into the hillside with empty houses either side, and just the occasional car passing on the road below so it felt very peaceful. The house has been renovated very nicely, with air conditioning in two of the bedrooms and the living room, so it stays nice and cool in the heat. The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials and the pool area is a lovely space to relax in. You have two sweet cats for company and lots of trees and vegetation all around. There is a great pizza place with an incredible view up in the village and the island’s main supermarket just a minute’s drive away. You are right in the centre of the island and only a 12 min drive from the ferry. Our host was really friendly and helpful - sent great instructions beforehand and was always really responsive to our questions over WhatsApp.

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. I would have preferred a cafetière or espresso pot, rather than the Illy coffee machine, but not everyone is a coffee addict! The pool does attract a lot of wildlife being so surrounded by nature, but our host came to give it a clean for us and we found washing out the filters made a big difference.

It has literally everything you need including bits of wood prepared right next to the barbecue. It is very private and quiet and the host is very helpful, nothing was a bother to him.
