About this cabin rental
Romantic, secluded fully equipped cabin for two in the Blue Ridge Mountains, 18 mi NW of Charlottesville, on Brokenback Mountain and near to Skyline Drive and the Appalachian Trail; 80 miles from Washington DC. Just a short drive to Charlottesville; home of 'Monticello' and the University of Virginia.
Located on over 200 acres, with 2 hiking trails on the property. The cabin has a gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, 2 person Jacuzzi tub, and shower. No TV, telephone or WiFi and spotty cell service, Does have a stereo with CD's and tapes, and lots of books, board games, cards, etc.
Includes covered porch and open deck, with BBQ grill. There is also a hammock under the trees to relax in.
Sorry, no children, pets, or smoking in cabin.
Access to community swimming pool in summer.
Relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city in the quiet of our mountain valley.
Amenities:: All kitchen appliances; coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, blender, mixer, toaster - even down to the napkins in the kitchen.
Bath has 2 person air jetted tub and separate shower; all linens and towels are provided, as well as amenities.
Bedroom has queen sized bed, and is carpeted, as is the dressing room area.
Living room has hardwood floors, sofa and chairs; lots of books, CD's and tapes, and board games and cards and a gas fireplace.

Activities: : Swimming pool on property in season; hiking trails on property.
Area: Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, very close to the Skyline Drive.

Clean, cozy, and filled with modern conveniences — a great getaway cabin (note: no internet, no TV, almost bo cell signal) — super romantic cabin surrounded by nature!

The cabin was very nice, comfortable bed, very quiet and enough room for the two of us. The owner was very responsive, replying within hours of any communication.
The biggest issue we had was the listing doesn't say it doesn't have internet, but it does say no phone or television. We consider internet to be more expected today than a television or telephone. It was particularly difficult when we needed to change our flights. So just be aware, there is NO internet in this cabin.
Also the road is a primitive dirt road, our rental car was filthy after the first day.
As I said, I think this is a great choice for the right people who want to get away from it ALL - with us living in Texas, we wouldn't consider this again.
