Helpful and genuine people. I liked it so much I ended up staying there for my whole three weeks. Great location with food, surf and good times all within a very short distance. Nice and clean rooms. Loved it!

Homestay Madiha is the perfect antidote to the rest of guest houses and hotels in and around Madiha beach which are seemingly catering for the young rich hippy type (that's 2020 counter culture for you!)........Homestay Madiha is hosted by a wonderful Sri Lankan family who are are Mum (Wasanthi) and Dad (Ranjan) and Son (Chamil ) and Sandy the dog! Homestay Madiha is a lovely Sri Lankan property with a fabulous garden ....during my stay i discovered that the Anushka family have been in this location for around 200 years (Now that's culture!). .....As a solo independent traveller i can recommend Homestay Madiha as brilliant value for money and is safe and the food and service is second to none. Finally Chamil is super smart and funny and will always try to get you the local price! ......A Tuk Tuk from the train station is 350sr and 400sr from Matara bus stand. ....a bus is 15sr head to Walgama. ........ ...have you left yet?
...........Probably having to leave!
