Casa Mi Tio Perico

This is a villa with history! It is quite basic but mostly clean and with all you need for a functional stay. It is very quiet which suited us perfectly and had good options to walk out to the dunes. Safe access to the ocean for the purpose of swimming is difficult from here though - guests should keep this for a nice walk and heading to Playa de la Garita (5 mins in car) for swims. There is plenty of parking on the property with good facilities to enjoy the sun or be shaded as you wish throughout the day and adequate washing/bathroom facilities for the number of rooms. Someone was available from the property to respond to calls and emails whenever I needed them.

We understood the villa to be 4 bedrooms with 2 lounges. However, on arrival one of the lounges was numbered as a bedroom. We had intended to use the 2nd lounge as a room to sleep in as it showed a door in the photos. This was an awkward misunderstanding with 5 male hang glider pilots - none of which wished to share a room. However, we made do and one us took the main lounge as their bedroom. Not ideal from a privacy perspective but it worked. The villa does also have another room off of one of the other bedrooms but this was closed off and not in use. It would have been useful if it was available as a bedroom. However, that would also have meant another privacy issue for whoever was in the intervening room. Perhaps an alternative entry way could be engineered by the owners for future visits as we hope to return. The sofa bed in the 2nd lounge bedroom appeared stained and we had to strip one of the beds in the twin room for bedding for this.

Nos ha encantado la casa, estas integrada en la realidad de la isla y también la ubicacion, lugar tranquilo, muy bonito y bien situado para visitar la isla. La casa muy completa y cómoda.

Por decir algo...que hay un poquito de olor a humedad en las habitaciones pero al ser una casa antigua lo encuentro bastante normal...

Tolle Lage, wunderschöner großer Garten, zwei Badezimmer, ein toller offener Patio und sehr ruhig. Insgesamt ein tolles Haus. Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer war sehr gut.

Eigentlich hätten wir gerne eine 10 vergeben, aber einige Dinge sind verbesserungswürdig: Das W-LAN funktioniert fast nur im Wohnzimmer, alle Kopfkissen waren ohne Bezüge, eine von drei Herdplatten funktionierte nicht, es gibt keinen Backofen und keinen Außengrill, wie angegeben. Gartenmöbel und Liegen wären wünschenswert.

Que era un sitio tranquilo

Ponía que tenía 4 habitaciones con cama en las 4, una de ellas con una cama y un sofá y no era así. En la habitación del sofá solo había sofá. Al final, optamos por compartir la habitación que tenía las dos camas individuales para que nadie tuviese que dormir una semana entera en un sofá. Las individuales hacían un ruido tremendo. En cuanto a los enseres de la casa, no había utensilios de cocina adaptados a la cocina de inducción donde hacer ni unos huevos.
