Beautiful, high spec purpose built holiday cottages in a wonderful setting and a fantastic location. The owners have evidently put their soul into this and have taken on other’s comments by fitting fly screens etc. Our cottage Tawny was very impressive. The kitchen was a dream and the high ceilings gave a very impressive look. The cinema room, gymnasium etc are excellent additions. Jacob was very helpful and accommodating.

Unfortunately, for us personally the bed was too firm and caused us an uncomfortable sleep. I realise this is a very individual thing. I have very limited mobility and suffer with pain in my back and knees. The sofa was way too low, too soft and the seats too long and meant I struggled to get out. It also unfortunately aggregated my back and knee arthritis. When I asked for an armchair Jacob immediately let us borrow one from the cinema room. Again these are very personal issues but for me the provision of more upright more supportive sofa in the accessible room would be much better option. Or the addition of a good armchair. Had I not had my disability the cottage would have been superb. A dressing table would be very useful instead of a second wardrobe again in my opinion.

Beautifully designed lodges with everything provided. Very quiet and peaceful. Nothing was too much trouble for the management - very kind and considerate.

Our accommodation was spacious, the gardens beautifully maintained, everything was clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything we needed. Staff were friendly. It was nice and quiet at night. Well equipped gym and sauna an added bonus.

The noise from cars passing by was the main issue. Maybe triple glazing on that side would help. Our accommodation was a bit spartan and would benefit from a little bit more furniture and decoration but it satisfied our needs.

Property was ideal for our family of 6, with 2 elderly parents. their room was fully accessible and the accommodation being on one floor was great. The owners even supplied an extra armchair which was higher and more supportive for my mother, with mobility issues.

This is something the hosts cannot control ....... but as it was very hot we had the windows open, and the noise from the road in the early morning was a little disturbing.
