About this villa rental
Come relax and enjoy the good life at our spectacular ocean-view luxury villa, located directly across from the Grand Wailea Hotel & Spa on the beautiful island of Maui. This unit has been recently redecorated and offers a fresh, clean, modern look.
Situated on the third row at Ho'olei, this beautiful two-story villa boasts dramatic Pacific Ocean views from both upper and lower levels. During the day, feel the gentle caress of the island breeze as you breathe in the clear air and gaze at the azure blue waters. In the evening, spectacular sunsets will take your breath away and create memories to last a lifetime.
This unit offers spacious accommodations for your stay in paradise. It features the largest floor plan available in the resort, with 3,987 square feet of living space. Ensuite configurations in all three bedrooms guarantee privacy, comfort, and convenience for guests. A sofa sleeper in the living room accommodates two additional guests.
This villa is privately owned and does not participate in the Grand Wailea Resort rental program. Our guests do not have access to the Grand Wailea pools, water slides, or shuttles. However, all of the restaurants and the spa at Grand Wailea are available to outside guests. The wonderful pool and amenities at Ho'olei are available for your use and are always much less crowded than the hotel pools!
You will love the expansive great room, offering gorgeous views and ample space for conversation, dining and entertaining. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors retract into hidden pockets, enabling a seamless transition to the outdoors where you can relax and soak in the Aloha spirit on the upper lanai with sitting chairs, a dining table, large outdoor grill and under-counter refrigerator.

Would have given it a 5 but the appliances were not working properly. And the bathroom's just need some badly needed paint refresh. Regardless, we would and will stay there again!

This was our second time to Ho'olei but first time in this unit. We stayed 17 days. We will be back to Ho'olei but definitely not come to this unit.
The good:
Communication with Laurel during booking and pre-arrival was very good and prompt.
The bed in the master was very comfortable.
The view is amazing.
I liked the location within Ho'olei - not far from the pool and a short walk to the beach.
Many floaties, boogies boards and beach chairs.
What desires improvement:
Some areas need more attention during cleaning, e.g. bathroom rugs.
The management company (Maui rentals) had very poor communication and not the best service. When we arrived at 9pm, we discovered tons of water on the kitchen floor. Short story long, water had to be shut off until the morning, a plumber fixed the leak partially in the morning and was supposed to come back complete the job, left a bowl for dripping water. No one ever came back. For 17 days. The dripping water stopped after some time. The 10ft baseboard was lying on the kitchen floor during our whole stay.
We asked for extra sheets and a blanket (so that two kiddos can sleep separately, not on one bed). It took 4 days and over 10 messages to get them! It would have been easier to buys some.
Same story with the shades in the second bedroom. They were not working during the whole stay, no sun in the room. When we reported to the company, they asked for the number of the battery for the remote. We never heard back. It would have been better to know we were in our own and try to fix them by ourselves.
Small isues with a property are ok. Poor communication and response is not.
The listing advertises 1 day between guests. We asked for noon checkout (in stead of 11) and were told that is not possible because of other guests arriving at 4pm. When we arrived, the dishwasher was used in the afternoon. Upon arrival, no time between guests/cleaning crew onsite.
Next time, we will probably pick a unit in Ho'olei managed by Grand Wailea and enjoy all their facilities + much better management service + towel service on our departure day.
