About this house rental
The beautiful, exceptional country house with a historic stone limestone facade made of shell limestone - a barn built around 1890 and completely renovated a few years ago according to design and ecological (solar thermal-supported pellet heating; electricity from your own roof) and completely renovated - is suitable for large groups up to 14 people, but also for small groups, couples or single travelers who are looking for a special holiday apartment in Mainz. The furnishings are elegant, bright and complete, but so reduced (without “knick-knacks”) that our guests have space to develop - according to the design feature “less is more”. Exactly how we like it ourselves.

- Huge garden (structurally protected, no adjacent streets) with meadows, fruit trees, fireplace with swivel grill, giant trampoline and sandpit.
- Mediterranean courtyard with quality of stay
- Smart TV
- Two living rooms
- Ecologically sustainable: electricity from your own roof, pellet heating with solar thermal, oiled wooden floor (not painted), white bio-silicate paint on the walls.

This was our first stay in Germany and we were very happy with the location. Igno was wonderful upon greeting us, making sure we had everything needed, he was even willing to help us with getting travel for our group of 7 when we were unable to speak the language (he actually stopped eating dinner with his family to assist!!). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thank Igno for his hospitality.

Easily the best VRBO my fiancé and I have ever stayed in! A beautiful space and Ingo is the most amazing host ever - we HIGHLY recommend staying in this quiet, spacious, and well-equipped property which is walking distance to delicious restaurants and grocery stores

Neighborhood in Mainz was delightful! Sleeping arrangements as advertised - two bedrooms which sleep 2 each on 2nd floor, and one bedroom with other beds/futons on top floor. Kitchen was a bit underequipped compared to our other European VRBO experiences - no vegetable peeler, no saucepans smaller than multiple gallon, very minimal spices. Kitchen not really equipped to cook. Backyard is NOT AS ADVERTISED - overgrown and unkempt waist high grass made it unusable except patio and table directly outside back door. And you share a wall with tenants (not renters), who were using outdoor table right outside kitchen window without explanation. On last night, had to ask tenants to turn down bumping party music after 11pm.
