About this apartment rental

This very bright and airy apartment has been in my family since the 50's. It is a home, not an investment property. I like to welcome guests like family friends, not a paying guests. In that spirit, when you first make contact with me please tell me about yourself, the people you are traveling with, and the nature of your trip. Come and enjoy my place as if it was your own home in Milan.

The apartment is on fifth floor of a modern elevator building with a doorman in service during the day (not on weekends). Both the building and the neighborhood are very safe. The area is called Magenta-Centro and it is a walking distance from all major tourist attractions: the Duomo (Milan's Gothic cathedral), is a 10-minute walk from the apartment. Leonardo's Last Supper is two short blocks away. The Castel of Milan is down the block. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment there are many cafes, bars and restaurants. I love the neighborhood and so will you. I promise!

My family and I enjoyed our stay in July and the apartment was perfect in a very nice building. It's in a very good location as well. The owner provided detailed information to assist with parking and getting access to the property and even answered a few last-minute questions while he was on vacation. I highly recommend this property for your next trip to Milan.

Great apartment in super location in Milan! We were an easy walk to the store, subway, restaurants, etc. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of room to stretch out. A/C and laundry were really helpful. Andrew was easy to communicate with and easily available if needed. Thank you again for opening your home to our family!

The apartment is ideally located. Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie is just a few blocks away. Sforza Castle was less than a 10 min walk and the Duomo was maybe 15 mins away by foot. Trams were easy options.Metro is is less than 2 mins away along with Milano Cadorna train station (express to Malpensa) Market up the street, wine shops and restaurants around the corner - couldnt be betterI cant say enough about our host Andrew - he went WAY above expectations to make sure we got in to the apartment and were settledThe apartment is very well appointed and has everything you could ask for. We thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a perfect base of operations

His family home is delightful…beautiful, spacious, located in a fantastic neighborhood & within a few minutes of the train station & subway. We stayed at this apartment for a family vacation in Milan (4 of us). The location is great as it’s only a 2 minute walk from the nearest metro stop and there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, etc. nearby. The apartment is exactly as listed and is very spacious with AC in every room and is well equipped with everything you’d need (kitchen, laundry, iron, etc). Andrew was great to work with and the building itself is very quiet - the sound reducing shutters really help with the street noise at night. The proximity to the metro was ideal for us to get to/from the train station and airport and for sight seeing. All in all, great experience with Andrew and would highly recommend for a family stay.

This property was outstanding in every way. The host, Andrew, was over the top. He was so nice and accommodating. Check in was perfect and easy. The apartment itself was very very clean and very quiet. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone at anytime. A 10 plus!!!!

This apartment is well maintained in great part of Milan, away from the tourist crowds in what feels like a "local's" part of town. centered between the Duomo, Castle and Last Supper, with easy access to a Metro station. A couple of things to note, the apartment is along a very busy street with plenty of road noise - just FYI if you are a light sleeper. There was a strange smell in the bathrooms, that I just chalk up to older plumbing/building.

This apartment was perfect for my work visit to Milan with my teen son and his friend. The property was spotless, large, comfortable and well equipped. Andrew was a wonderful host. He quickly answered all my questions and we spoke by phone so he could give me advice on activities for my son and his friend. The location is amazing. Walking distance from the Duomo. the ideal location in a great building with everything going on all around it. fantastic host with A++ communication, tips on how to get from the airport, where to eat, things to do - like getting a travel agent and a time share all in one. the rooms on the street side will get noisy when the bars close and the streets fill with the weekend crowed stumbles home so have some earplugs handy, a small inconvenience but worth it to be in the heart of milan.

This apartment has it all — it is clean and comfortable, the location is phenomenal, and Andrew does a beautiful job as host. Truly a classic Italian family home. Upon entering I was delighted at the understated elegance of the apartment. Imagine light, airy rooms, painted white with sheer curtains and french windows. Unfussy antiques lend charm and patina to the space. (I was obsessed with the stunning tile-work in the green bathroom.) Our family of four was extremely comfortable there. Good working kitchen and laundry. Solid air conditioning. Comfortable beds. In short—fantastic! The location is excellent. In the elegant Magenta district, all the major sites of Milan were within easy walking distance. When we took public transportation, the Cadorna Metro hub was a stones-throw away and we never needed a taxi. Andrew and his team did an amazing job. I have had many wonderful VRBO hosts over the years, and yet this is the first time I have truly felt like a guest. Andrew was attentive, flexible, responsive, unfailingly cheerful and just plain kind! He replied quickly to questions. Andrew loves his native city and made sure we had every possible opportunity to enjoy our time there. Look no further—this is the one!

Great place. The apt is very spacious and very clean. Large and comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything we needed. The living/dining room is huge. A/c in every room. Good wifi. Very conveniently located, tram and metro stops nearby. You can reasonably walk to most attractions if you prefer as well. Yet it is on the outskirts of the tourist area, so you get some nice and local cafes and restaurants nearby. Andrew responded quickly to whatever questions we had, was very accommodating to our requests, and made sure we had a great stay. The only cons is that the building is on a major street so there is quite a bit of street noise in the morning, even with windows closed. So if you are a sensitive sleeper then ear plugs are advised. Hint: if you need car parking, i found a cheaper 24h car park on Via Zenale (e25 per day as opposed to e38 in Garage Le Grazie).
