Live in Luxury, Live in Style Cinnamon House Sri Lanka

For those with high expectations and experience of various places across the world, then Cinnamon House will quench your thirst for a high-end, luxurious holiday. We have stayed in a similar house (designed by the same architect) in Lamu in Kenya but this house won hands down with its ideal location and amazing staff. It’s basically your own boutique hotel, right on the doorstep of a private beach which you can surf from, or 10 minutes in a tuk tuk from main Weligama beach where easier surf is and more eating places. The staff did absolutely everything for us when we asked. They did our food shopping, ordered tuk tuks and taxis, kept the house immaculate, prepared our bedrooms every morning and night and generally made sure that we had the most wonderful holiday. Jianyha is the main man running the house and he was wonderful. Calm and in control, friendly with a very high level of professionalism. The chef prepared us the most delicious foods from local curries to even the best spag bol the kids had ever had! There were 8 of us and the villa was huge and spacious so no one ever felt cramped. In fact it’s easy to lose yourself in the villa. The pool area is designed as it’s shaded most of the day which was perfect in the searing heat and the sea breeze cools everything done. Little things that made all the difference to us was: comfy beds with great pillows, beds prepared at night with a different display of flowers or towel design every night, amazing views, air con, outstanding staff, meals when we wanted. But to sum it up, Heena and the house staff made the stay at this wonderful and unique place, like no other holiday. I would impress upon anyone to choose this villa and this location. It really was out of this world.

We stayed at Cinnamon House with two families for 7 nights, it exceeded our expectations. The moment we were greeted by the team we were made to feel relaxed and welcomed. Jayantha and the staff took us on a guided tour of the property with ice cold towels and drinks, the table was beautifully set ready for lunch. Cinnamon house was very spacious with all the luxuries you would expect. The beautiful Jungle Beach was across the road, easy access to surfboard hire with a great surf break and reef on your doorstep. A highlight for us was Chef Mahesh and the delicious food he delivered for breakfast, lunch and dinner - a truly local and international menu. Both adults and children were very well catered too, as well as gluten free requirements for a few in our group. Cinnamon House has an amzing position with access to the beautiful Cape Welligama on the point where we had a few afternoon drinks and lunch. The Cove where Cinnamon House is located is lovely and in a quiet area compared with the craziness of Mirissa. In saying that, there are Tuk Tuk's everywhere for easy transport to local villages. We cannot speak highly enough of our stay and the team who made the first week of our holiday very special. The Smith and Thomas Family x
