Nice apartment-like room, with an additional balcony

Quiet rooms facing the back of the house. A little balcony. New doors and windows to the yard.

Great place

We stayed at the Elise room and we loved it - a place with authentic charm, super spacious and quiet. And the bathroom- just wonderful, again very spacious and beautiful. You can enjoy a meal on your balcony (or on the terrace downstairs). I liked the organisation of the whole space - to give you an idea what the different rooms are - they are like separate rooms (or apartments is should say as they have separate big bathrooms like a whole room, and a kitchenette with all you need) on the second floor. So you have the building entrance, leading to the 1st floor where the terrace is. Then on the second floor are the separate rooms. Isabel (the host) is there for you which gave me an additional layer of security especially given the fact it is Marseille. I recommend the place.

Very good stay at Maison Dormoy!

The room was BEAUTIFUL! The host was very helpful and kind. The area was convenient with good restaurants and bars nearby, particularly the excellent LA TABLE MARSEILLAISE, about a 6 minute walk away..

The Wifi was a bit problematic..

Clean and functional with shortcomings.

Clean and functional and useful to have secure parking .

Cramped galley type kitchen which is in the small corridor between bedrooms. Air conditioning in one room was temperamental leading to a hot evening sleep. No hooks in either bedroom or bathroom. Only cupboard to hang clothes is in the hallway.

The location! Bus and metro stations are far. It’s 30 minutes to walk to the vieux port yet it’s also almost 10 minutes walk to take the bus or metro.

Beautiful and very well located. Just a few minutes walk to the metro. Host is very kind, and the building looks chic.

The pillow is not really comfortable, it’s too soft and liquid-like and my neck got a bit hurt in the morning. Wifi is quite slow. But more than that, nothing to complain.

A good place to stay in Marseille.

It’s a nice building. Our place was confortable. Good size rooms with AC. Isabelle is a lovely lady. She was attentive and responsive every time we contacted her.

I loved my stay and the room felt very homely

The location was great. The room was lovely as well and The tv with access to streaming services was a great touch. The air conditioning was a life saver and the bed was extremely comfortable. Fridge, toaster and coffee machine were also very useful.

I had a really hard time entering my room. The key only works if you dont insert it all the way in. I struggled every time I had to open or close the door. The room was pretty clean and very tidy, but the glasses and mugs in the room were a little dirty/dusty.

They claim to have a charging dtAtion for electric car but they don’t and don’t even have a parking space. Total scam.

the room was big and clean and very bright. I also liked the high ceiling and the terrace. the room was the same as the pictures.Ms. Isabelle Chevreau is very nice and kind.

Great communication ahead of our stay, facilitating our late arrival and last minute addition of my partner. We didn't stay long, but the space suited out needs and the building looked great.

Got a room upgrade, probably because of the off-season. Nicely decorated, quiet room with all amenities. Everything was clean, the bathroom was very nice. All in all a perfect stay.

Classy Elegant Century Maison

2 Large Bedrooms with comfortable beds. Renovated bathroom with shower. Kitchette with refrigerator and microwave and dishwasher.

When Air Conditioner is added, it would remove the loud noise from the cars on the street.

Amazing stay, would definitely recommend to anyone!

The building itself is so cute and the street was not as noisy as others have stated. This hotel was a home that was converted and it's beautiful inside with high ceilings. The lobby area feels stately and it was a unique experience to stay in what we expected french homes of the past to look like. Isabelle is amazing! She was very communicative and helpful during our stay. We arrived earlier than check in and left our bags while we explored. When we arrived back at check in time, she was so kind as to bring our luggages up the stairs for us! She didn't have to but it just shows how much she cares about her guests.

It was still a little warm when we were there and there's no AC but there were fans and you can open the huge windows for fresh air.

Quiet area for Marseille, 20 minutes to the center, nice view and balcony. The room has everything for convenience and self-service breakfast. Near the market, where they bought fresh bread and cheeses. Closed paid parking.

Pleasant Home in a Cool Neighbourhood

I liked the easy check-in and check-out. The building interior is very charming and the room was very clean. The internet worked well and the neighborhood was cool.

The mattress was very stiff for me, I had trouble sleeping. I probably saw the wrong pictures, but I got a different expectation of how the room would be based on the pictures I saw. My room was fine but did not have much natural light.

lovely stay

Isabelle (the host, owner, I assume) was really nice and helpful. she helped us with getting the private parking space (depending on availability, we may have been lucky). the property is authentic and the furnishing modern. there is no AC but there is a fan in each room. little kitchenette with microwave for very basic food prep and fridge. nice! I think in general it makes sense to stay here for a few days - we only stayed one night and didn’t make full use of apartment

well it was very hot (what to expect in July?) and you can open the windows but the road has vehicle noise (not terrible by any means - most cities would have it worse)
