Gite de charme au coeur de la Bourgogne

The location was absolutely wonderful. The house was a surprise. There was a stone stairway to the bedrooms and no hand rail while the WC was downstairs. At night that was uncomfortable, if not dangerous. We never met the owner/host and had no directions on how to use heating or appliances. There was exactly one bath towel each and we had to text the owner to find them. There was no welcome book, instructions and no touring information. They texted offering information after we'd been there 4 days and finally sent suggestions for touring and restaurants at noon on our last day there. Not very useful.

Poor communication. We never saw a person. We were not greeted and we were not given any instructions. Suggestions we're sent at noon on our last day there which was completely useless. We found the keys easily and when we left, we replaced them where we found them but there was no human interaction at all. There also was absolutely no place to hang clothes. We stacked them on the extra beds for the week. There were 3 armoires but they were crammed full of various linens. We couldn't use them. The WC is built so if you are over about five feet, six inches tall, you have to sit on the toilet sideways because there is a wall about a foot from the front of the toilet. I will also guess that if someone is over 200 pounds, they can't use the shower.

Très joli gîte, charmant, agréable. Une adresse que je retiens en cas d autre séjour en Bourgogne.

Dommage que nous n'ayons eu aucun contact avec notre hôte, à savoir si tout se passait bien pour nous, nous conseiller sur d'éventuels restaurants ou visites.....
