Welcome to 'Shaggy Shack,' a relaxing waterfront property located in the quaint neighborhood of North Shore Beach, Slidell, Louisiana. This recently updated 2BR/2BA camp has an open floor plans that sleeps 4. Fully equipped kitchen.
Begin your day with a gorgeous sunrise from a spacious elevated sun deck or venture downstairs to the lower level covered patio area. Make sure to grab your camera to capture the many pelicans and sea gulls that fly by as you enjoy a cup of coffee. Walking distance to a small beach area. Go fishing or crabbing off a 50 foot dock. Have your own boat and want to bring it... no problem, we have plenty of room, plus a covered boat slip to use during your stay. Numerous boat launch sites are within minutes. Also available for your use are 3 kayaks and a 2 person canoe to fish or explore the surrounding bayous or Lake Pontchartrain. Discover why Louisiana is known as "Sportsman's Paradise."

We loved our stay. The owner and locals were friendly when we were outside but honored our privacy. We loved the local food and found the area to be a great vacation stop close to New Orleans. Relaxing and quiet with fishing and crabbing from your rental. Private beach at the end of the street. Hard to leave the house but when you do it’s close to tours and attractions in the area. Would recommend!!!

What a wonderful stay at the Shaggy Shack--the property was as described. The neighborhood is so peaceful and we enjoyed the view--especially drinking coffee on the upper deck in the mornings. We would return again!
