About this farm stay rental
Your extra large private hot tub provides the perfect place to warm up under the skies on a snowy day, stargaze at night and rejuvenate and relax after a long hike or ski.
You may also enjoy skiing at any three ski resorts within 90 minutes of Brookside: 49 Degrees North, Mt. Spokane, and Schweitzer Ski Resort. Silver Mountain is a bit further. Stoneridge Golf and Recreation Resort is a ten-minute drive and offers year around pool and hot tub. You'll find many other golf courses for summer use in our area.
We offer fine furnishings including comfortable king-sized beds, two full bathrooms and complete kitchen and laundry. The living room is equipped with a 36in HD TV, with TVO Direct TV and DVD machine. Enveloped by farm and timberland, you'll likely be wakened each morning by our friendly rooster, Little Dude, and lulled to sleep by the sounds of the nearby creek, horses nickering and coyotes crying in the distance.
Brookside Acres is located at the far west end of Blanchard Valley and, since 1939, has been a dairy farm, a cattle ranch, has been logged numerous times as has the surrounding area. Owner, Bonnie Jones, is taking a more conservative approach, continuing to raise hay for sale and her own horses. Guests are welcome to bring their own horses and ride surrounding trails.
In the foothills of the Selkirks, Mt. Spokane at 5400’ is the highest nearby mountain. Brookside Acres sits at 2700’ and is accessed from the west over a small pass which elevation equals that of Snoqualmie Pass in the Washington Cascades. You’ll normally find the pass enshrouded with snow through April. From the east, Brookside lies six miles from the town of Blanchard, Idaho.
We are certain that you’ll enjoy and prize these surroundings as we do.
