La Casetta Varenna

Było wygodnie, przy samym jeziorze z prywatnym zejściem do wody.

Brakowało klimatyzacji - latem nie można schłodzić pomieszczeń poniżej 25 stopni. Zbyt ciepło do spania.

Host was very accommodating to our needs.

Beautifully located on the side of Lake Como. Clean, comfortable, it was a fabulous place to stay with our family.

Nothing, all was great

I'm a level 3 user on booking.com and I can pretty much say hands-down that this stay is one of the best I have ever had during my travels. The cottage is a lovely little place just outside Lierna, getting into Varenna. It is best accessed by car or taxi. The house is absolutely lovely and is at the lakeshore just as advertised. The rooms were neat, clean and well prepared. Two bathrooms (one each on the upper floors - the top one was a shower stall which was useful) and a washbasin on the ground floor. The kitchen (open plan on the ground floor) was well stocked with utensils and even some complimentary items to get us going. The house is a 10 min walk from the local cafe and grocers (Il Buon Gusto) and we enjoyed going there a few times for a coffee and to pick up some nice breads, pasta and pesto. Parking is ample enough for one car. We really regretted having to leave the place :(

Nothing really! This property deserves its exceptional rating. The hosts could consider adding some directions on local hikes etc. (the maps available from the local signboards for the easy hikes nearby were not that great).
