Great location, needs to offer a bit more for its customers.

Location, and a big room.

Breakfast was rather poor in variety, and about 7.30 many things were gone and not renewed again.

Excellent hotel is brilliant location

We stayed at Hotel Arok to celebrate our 20th anniversary in December, and it was absolutely wonderful. The complimentary room upgrade was such a lovely surprise, and the bottle of crémant waiting for us made the occasion feel extra special. We also really appreciated the rose petals on the bed — a thoughtful and romantic touch that didn’t go unnoticed. The location is excellent: only about a 10-minute walk to the city centre and very close to the train station, which made it easy to take day trips and especially convenient on the day we left. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Hotel Arok to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel with great attention to detail.

We loved our stay here and want to come back. If there is anything I would like next time, it would be a kettle in the room.

Charming hotel

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the Christmas decorations and the interiors. I loved that they had a special bed and treats for my dog.

It would have been perfect if there were a kettle and a small fridge in the room.

Stylish Hotel – Great Value and Friendly Service

We stayed at the new wing of the hotel: everything was brand new. I like the style and design of the hotel. The receptionists were very friendly and nice. Breakfast was good: not too extensive variety but everything that one can need. Location is good, very close to the city Centre, late in the evening keep in mind it’s near the train station (it was slightly sketchy) but in general felt safe.

The windows on floors below 5 floor can’t be open, and the use of air conditioner seems to be seasonal. Even though the temperature is the room was fine I find it’s a bit uncomfortable not to be able to have fresh or cool air. I think it would be better to allow a small window opening.

We enjoyed the stay but were disappointed by the aircon problem.

Pleasant surroundings and a good breakfast with free coffee available all day. Nice staff

We were booked into a good sized rooom which proved to have faulty aircon which simply would not switch off and was incredibly noisy. After one night with no sleep we asked for a move of rooms- we ended up in a much smaller room which while pleasant had a lot less space.

STYLE WITH COMFORT

The hotel is close to station and within a few minutes walk to central Strasbourg. The rooms are clean and quite.. Spacious and stylish with the quirky art of a great photographer creating a great theme

Great location

Property and location across from train station was excellent value. There were a few cafes nearby as well as a small grocery store.

I am African and when I came to the front desk I got a puzzled and confused look by the receptionist. She seemed genuinely shocked that I asked her to check-in. It didn’t feel good.

Clean, comfortable, dog friendly hotel in great location

Super comfy room, amazingly dog friendly (they left three dog beds with treats on them for my 3 dogs in our room when we arrived!) and comprehensive breakfast.

Lovely stay in the middle of Strasbourg - would come again!

Location was excellent, fittings and furnishings high standard, very comfortable.

The tv channels were mislabeled - I needed cbbc and it was a different channel which was more for teens - was a little inconvenient

Very nice, clean and friendly hotel in a great location

The staff were very friendly and gave us access to our room when we arrived earlier than expected. The room was quietly situated at the back of the hotel and the bed was just right so we slept well. The included breakfast was of excellent quality and was plentiful and varied. Hygiene standards were high throughout.

We would have liked hooks for clothes and towels in the rather small bathroom. It was awkward having few dry spots on which to put stuff, especially as the type of shower meant the floor got pretty wet. Also, there was no luggage rack in the room on which you could put an open case, just a stool on which I had to precariously balance my cabin bag. The room was too small to just use the floor.

Great location, comfortable night's stay

We had a good sized room and bathroom, situated on the first floor as requested. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good. The location was great, just a stone's throw from the main station and only a short interesting walk from the cathedral area.

Very disappointed, please see didnt like:

The location was very central and well connected to tourist destinations

The A/C did not work in our room or our families other room even when turned all the way to 5 degrees celsius. There were flies in the hallway which is really gross. The first room smelt like smoke, which is terrible for a small baby (must caveat that they gave us another room even after saying that the hotel is “fully booked” previously. The complimentary coffee only had sour milk, which made the coffee taste terrible and ruined my breakfast routine. Overall very disappointing, because if not for COVID19 I would have spent a part of my honeymoon here, which due to travel restrictions we had to cancel, and they were also one of the only place who refused to refund a newly married couple. Very glad we didn’t go, because we would have been duly disappointed.

The staff were welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

For the money, the bedroom was very small. There was nowhere to put suitcases without blocking movement around the room.

It was a very pleasant stay and we would choose the hotel again.

the location was perfect. The room was clean and quiet. There was a coffee machine for hot beverages available as well as some pastries and sweets. Great that we could stay in the room until 12 noon.

the breakfast area was quite small and when the hotel was full, it was very busy. Only one coffee machine to get your coffee-quite long queues. I would have prefered to have a kettle in the room to make your own tea/coffee.

Just a short walk from the train station

Breakfast was pretty good with a tea and coffee machine, fruit juices, some fresh fruit and canned peaches, scrambled eggs and bacon, beans and franks, croissants and madeleines, cereals, etc. Arok has pleasant common areas like the breakfast lounge and an outdoor (walk a flight up) terrace. The hotel is across a large promenade from the train station, so very quick and easy to find for train travelers. Our room was modern with an updated bathroom. Enough outlets are a welcome plus. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Our room on the top floor during our hot stay was too warm- the air con did not work to cool down our room enough. We requested a fan but even with it the room was very warm. Also the bed was hard and made for an uncomfortable two nights (Sciatica issues on my part). I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you require a softer mattress.

Superb

Clean, modern hotel and room. Excellent breakfast with many options - the scrambled eggs were delicious. The location is superb for a quick trip. It is right outside the train station and only ~10 minute walk from Le Petit France.
