Warm, private and incredibly comfortable: the perfect cottage for a couple wanting to explore Eryri.

This is honestly one of the best cottages that I have ever booked. The photos don't really do it justice: the bedroom is massive, and the lounge is a good size with a big log burner (incredibly welcome after a long walk in torrential rain). The view out the front of the cottage looks out onto a river, with no other habitation in sight, so it's beautifully private. It was warm throughout and the bathroom was a good size, with a large shower cubicle. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return.

Excellent cottage

A very clean and comfortable cottage which was perfect for 2 adults. The owners have worked very hard to provide a home from home for their guests both inside and out. It was nice to be greeted on arrival and to find bits for hot drinks and a snack left in the kitchen. Little touches like fresh flowers were very appreciated. Logs left and fire place set up but we didn't need to light it as the radiators kept us warm enough. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Gorgeous views. Great location to get to many areas of interest. Local pub a 5 minute walk with good food and friendly staff. Would definitely return here and recommend. Very good value.

A cosy and comfortable farm cottage and a perfect place to enjoy all the beauty of North West Wales.

The cottage was very cosy and comfortable for 2 people. Olwen welcomed us when we arrived and explained about the area and offered advice on where to go and what to see. The cottage had very good amenities and the bed was very comfortable and nighttime was very quiet. The view was exceptional with farmland, featuring cows and sheep and plenty of space to walk among their land with a stream running through it. It is within walking distance of the small town and you can also walk to Caernarfon if you wanted to.

There is nothing that I would say I didn’t like about the property.

The bungalow is in a beautiful location, perfect for a relaxing break with the dog. Some beautiful walks and lovely pub in the village. Loads of places to visit nearby, we will definitely return as we ran out of time. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

The cottage is in a peaceful location down a quiet lane and with views of fields and a river beyond with the mountains of Snowdonia in the background. The one bedroom cottage is very well equiped with a kitchen with every appliance you could want. The lounge has a TV and there is fast wi-fi available. The owner Olwen is very friendly and was happy to provide information about places to eat and attractions in the area. Thoroughly recommended.

A short stay at the end of a relaxing week in North Wales. Ideal for a couple to spend time at.

We only stayed for one night, and the weather wasn't ideal so didn't really get the time to fully benefit from it's quiet location. However it is set in a idyllic place with a great view, peaceful and quiet. The amenities were all to a good standard, including the bathroom and shower.

Tranquil bliss.

Such a beautiful two night stay at Cae Samuel. Olwyin had everything g we needed, even allowing me to use her washing machine and dryer, much needed on a long driving holiday. View incredible from the kitchen window, with a creek just below the sheep paddocks. Tranquility on busy trip. Fire place on with such pleasure.

Lovely cosy cottage with friendly hosts - and a real fireplace... finally

The owner met us when we arrived and had the fire lit with a Christmas tree and lights on ! Not only that, there were some nice gifts, everything you needed in the kitchen was there. The bed was very comfortable, it was a cute cottage with several rooms. It was a perfect location to explore from. The views of Snowdonia from the kitchen were amazing, we enjoyed cups of tea outside watching the sunrise, very beautiful. We knew about the property as other Australian relatives stayed their probably 4 weeks earlier and recommended it. We stayed for 3 nights late November, it was quite chilly but perfect for warming fireplaces. The place was heated to a certain temperature, however this could be increased if you spoke with the hosts, we saw no need to. Your first load of timber is free, then there is a small charge for more timber, which we enjoyed. We were able to wash our clothes and used their dryer, which helped a lot. So many bookings we requested a fireplace and were presented with a "fake" fireplace, yes they heated but electric - we wanted the full experience. We plan to definitely visit again in a few years time, highly recommend it :)

Perfect stay at Samuel Cottage!

Such a beautiful cottage. We recently lost our son, his name is Samuel and that's why we picked this cottage. It did not disappoint at all!! We had absolutely everything we needed. Some lovely little touches such as bottle of wine, beautiful flowers and milk in the fridge!! Location was fab, nice and quiet but only a short walk into the village. Beautiful stream at the end of the garden too!

A perfect location to relax, and chill with plenty of walks.

A fantastic stay in such a beautiful location with views of Snowdonia. You could be in the middle of nowhere, but Caernarfon is only 2 miles away, and the village is nearby with a shop, pub, and takeaways. It is so relaxing here that we will book again.
