This is a unique rental opportunity in the heart of the beautiful Monadnock Region. The 18th century farm home/residence is located on beautiful Zephyr lake. The 600 ft. waterfront insures privacy for swimming and relaxation on the furnished deck. Large eat-in kitchen, full dining room, large living room with sitting area, family room, four double bedrooms, two full baths, washer/dryer. Sleeps 8. Kick back and relax at the lake or take a stroll near by. For a little more of a challenge Mt Monadnock is close by for the climbing enthusiasts. Nearby Crotched Mountain and Mount Sunapee is perfect for skiing in the winter and hiking in summer.
The Red House is a short scenic drive from picturesque Peterborough a lovely, typical New England town offering quaint shops, restaurants, and theater. In the summer there are the Peterborough Players, Monadnock Music, and many other cultural events.

We loved this house. The decor really fit the age of the house. Plenty of space for 6 people. The lake was great! And it’s in a great location for wherever you’re going in the Monadnock region. The only suggestion I would say is that it’s a bummer we had to take trash home with us. Checking out on a Tuesday when the recycling center is open on Saturdays. We would stay here again!

A well-kept house with a history, with steps down to a smaller lake. Very peaceful by the lake with a sitting area. Close to the road, not an overly busy one, and hardly any traffic at night. We were only there for a few days, did not do any cooking or use the kayaks.

Great location for our plans. Nice well-kept property. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets down by the lake and relaxing at night in the screen porch.

House was clean, though the kitchen was chaotic. Having to take our trash with us when we left was inconvenient, given that our stay ended on a holiday and the dump was not open.The host was exceptional at communicating with us. The first night we smelled propane near the back door, and the host had a tech come out and ensure it was safe. forewarning of this smell would have been nice, though we did not notice it the rest of the trip.
