About this house rental
Excellent house for a family getaway or for a short stay! A classic 1863 northern Maine farmhouse with rustic charm. The house has beautiful property with spectacular views and a relaxing atmosphere. It is also available for DIY wedding venues.
The house has 5 BR w/2 1/2 bath with an updated kitchen, granite counter tops and lots of farmhouse charm. Features large comfortable family room with metal ceiling, pellet stove, newly renovated elegant dining room with exposed original beams and original refinished hardwood floors throughout first floor. 1st floor bedroom & renovated bath with a separate laundry room. Big enclosed front porch with beautiful sunset views. Awesome views with many apple trees on the property.
The house is located approximately 300 yards from the main ATV & snowmobile trail. I was able to get an exclusive rental agreement through a local shop. They will deliver and pickup ATV/snowmobiles from the house for guests who are interested in having a great time on the trails. ATV's will be available in the spring of 2019. The Meduxnekeag river is within short walking distance from the house for excellent trout fishing. Mars Hill ski facility is a short drive away.

We have stayed here twice in the last 5 years and have tried to book it every year since the first time. It’s a great place with room

We had a few problems. The refrigerator had food in it and also the freezer. It was also dirty. The upstairs TV had to rebooted numerous time as the screen kept being scrambled. The day before we left, the upstairs toilet started leaking down through the light in the bathroom downstairs. We did not feel comfortable using it. Peaceful place. We could hear the coyotes at night. No coffee cups so we bought 4 mugs. Also had to buy two small,sharp knives. We left them there. Would be nice to have a potato masher and ice cream scoop. We did the solitude and being away from city life.
